solved site no longer sends emails

i am no longer getting emails from when new people post or join
i checked my settings nothings changed it must be from the last update

Are your notification settings checked as appropriate? We have had instances of them being randomly reset that we have been looking in to.

yes that's what i meant by i checked the settings and nothings changed everything says send email
but its probably related to that issue

Do test emails from the Email module work? Maybe temporarily set the email system to 'debug log' and send a test email from the email module. See if it gets into the log.

Soaring, do you have BOTH the Email Support module and the Mailgun SMTP module activated?
(I have my mailgun smtp module disabled and things work well)
Are you using Mailgun for your jr site, and if so are you looking at your Mailgun logs to see if things are being sent out?

mailgun gave me huge hassles so i disabled it i will try the test email
(paul, please make note of my suggestion in suggestions section and if it is feasible please give it a real consideration)

nevermind found the issue
and it was only affecting my notifications and it was the server
