foxycart: unknown gateway error

I just got this email from Foxycart:

We recently attempted to complete a transaction (ID #xxxxxxx) for a customer of your store, but unfortunately your stores payment gateway did not respond to us in a meaningful way. Because of this our systems can not be sure whether the customer was successfully charged for this transaction or not.

I don't see any transaction on either my site, foxycart or stripe.

Thoughts?

The customer called, and she got a similar message, but I don't see anything other than the email from Foxycart. Does Jamroom not store anything before sending the transaction to Foxycart?

No. Items are added to the cart, sent to foxycart. Jamroom does not record that someone put something in a cart.

When foxycart sends us a notification that something was purchased, that includes what was purchased so we then add that to the user who purchased it.

This happens behind the browser scenes so it doesn't matter what the user clicks on, if they return here or not.
