I have a question. Is there a way for blog owners to approve of posts before they are published?

If they are the owner then they just set the publish date to some time in the future.

Hi Brian,

No that isn't what I mean. Is there a way for the author of a blog post to approve of comments made to the blog post?

No - that's not supported. The profile owner can REMOVE posts however - just make sure the "profile owner delete" option is CHECKED in the Comment module Quota Config.
