I just got a notice that google has found 154,733, 404 errors on my new site. I am not sure why. I have never ran into this before with google, and could use some advice. That many pages not found is really bad!

Thanks for any help!

The number is not significant, you'll want to figure out what urls google is saying that it can't find.

If there are a million pages that don't exist that google cant find, that's not surprising because they don't exist.

This is not surprising if you switched from Ning to JR - the Ning URLs are completely different than JR.

Hi Brian,
I checked it out and that is not the case. For instance, here is an addy reported:
URL:
http://thenewstalkers.com/enoch/gallery
And according to Google:
Googlebot couldn't access the contents of this URL because the server had an internal error when trying to process the request. These errors tend to be with the server itself, not with the request.

That page does exist. That is why I am concerned.

Right now google only has listings for my blogs. Something is stopping it from getting on to the forum or the homepage.

This just means when Google tried to load the page your server had an internal error (i.e. your server was being rebooted, was being worked, or had some issue).

Clear all the google webmaster errors and see if they come back a week from now.
