Currently a forward can be set up for your @domain.com email in the JR Hosting that allows you to receive emails from that email.

How do you get the ability to send emails from that @domain.com email?
I see you guys have it working on @jamroom.net emails.

Lets say you want to add this email account to gmail, it would need the SMTP and POP info, is that something that can be accessed?

Thanks

You can set the 'from' email in the email module global settings -
ACP=>Communication=>Email Support=>Global Config

Asking something else, not about the site's auto emails. How do you use your @domain.com email to reply to messages?

In cpanel hosting you just set up a mail box and then add the given SMPT and POP info to gmail.

However in 'JamRoom Hosting' backend there is not such option.

Make sure and check out the Hosting documentation:

Thanks!

Saw that, it only tells you how to create a forward not how to send from such an email address. I see you guys are able to send from @jamroom.net emails, is there a way this can be replicated?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Your email client should allow you to reply from multiple addresses. What email client are you using?

Gmail

They used to allow the adding of any email address and all you had to do was get a confirmation email with a pin, a process that worked perfectly once you had a 'forward' set up to get that pin.

Recently, few months ago they changed that and now the only way you can add a new 'sending email account' is with SMPT info.

Then you'll need to find a different email client if that is no longer supported - we don't run any POP or IMAP servers that you can send/receive email through.

Sorry!

What is your OS? I use Mail.app on Mac OS X - if you're on Windows I think it has a free one too.

Note that I just logged in to Gmail and I'm not see any issues with alternate accounts - go to Settings -> Accounts and Import -> "Add Another Email Address You Own".

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks for suggestion.

See on the next screen it asks you for SMPT info

Got it - I didn't go far enough. That's pretty typical for Google - just reinforces my decision to stop using Gmail about 5 years ago - it's been going downhill for ages.
