I've seen this posted before but looking through the forums for awhile and cant find it.

I would like to change the site search settings so that when someone searches the site it also searches the descriptions etc on the site-in other words- have search index all the words on the site?
Thanks!

enable full text search in admin panel, it will take a while to index the site after you enable.

Easiest way to find it is just to type 'search' in the search box in admin

Well I just set it in the ACP and waited for it to finish indexing the site- still nothing showing up in search that should.
For example-I sell a number of keychains on the site- and have the word keychain in the menu/description
But when I search for 'keychains" it returns "no results"
I am using the new Site Builder- wondering if this has not been configured for it yet?

How are you selling these? Though the merchandise module? If so try adding these to your additional search fields

product_title
product_body

No I'm not using any modules to sell- just using html code
1-create page w/ site builder
2- add html for product image/description and form button

Here is an example page
http://roughneckcity.com/safety_glasses_exeter

You can see 4 styles of Exeter safety glasses on this page BUT if you type EXETER into the search box- none of them show up?

It appears site builders widgets arent getting searched, this raises another important question, how does one enable search on templates manually added. since search only checks through datastores?

Good point, I'll have a chat to the others to look for ways to approach content in templates. Thanks.
