I want to 'like' the Glossary so I can easily find it in the "Items You Like' subtab in my JR menu.

Currently I have to do a site-wide search on 'Glossary' every time I need to look up a term, or to check if a term has already been added.

When I am on the Glossary page, all I can see are buttons for sharing.

Like It is not enabled on items on Jamroom.net at this time - maybe you could bookmark it?

Thanks, understood.

...but then, why does the "Items You Like" subtab appear under my user name when I am logged in to JR?

The only place it is turned on on jamroom.net is here:

"Site Showcase"
https://www.jamroom.net/showcase/sites

It is possible to like other peoples sites, they will show in your list of things.

Ahhh! Ok. Which reminds me of another thought.

Instead of second-guessing what potential users might regard as well-designed JR sites, would it be possible to invite ALL JR site creators (at any time) to voluntarily register their sites in a searchable directory managed by JR as a global showcase?

(Let's breathe in now for International Yoga Day).

There could be some kind of time-lag on this to avoid registering sites that exist for 10 minutes and then disappear.

Top page views of sites that existed for say, 4 years and then disappeared might still offer some value as examples for future site creators.

I work in a museum as a curator (one of my roles) so I see value in learning from past failures and successes. If JR could curate a global directory of past and current JR sites, the value of the effort would increase over time.

Just a thought. I'll mark this thread as solved.

Thanks.

There is the Members Sites directory here:

"Showcase -> Members Sites"
https://www.jamroom.net/showcase/sites

That is comprised of all sites that are added to the SITES tab of your account here on jamroom.net, for you it would be:

https://www.jamroom.net/researchcooperative/mysites

Add a site to there and it will appear in the Members Sites Directory.
