Hey Guys

This ties into the whole theme I have going on about protecting young users, we need a checkbox for photos and albums that always the uploaded to mark it as explicit content. If checked those under the global set age will just see a warning image and not the explicit image.

This could be done by adding the checkbox with the form designer and modifying the gallery templates to suit.

Yes but without some sort of global check it means this would have to be done separately everywhere surely?

The issue is we don't want to build functionality in that is unwanted by some users. If we added this to the core module then someone built a site that was totally explicit and no-one under 18 is allowed to use, then all the content is going to be explicit and the button becomes irrelevant.

Its much harder to get rid of a feature that you don't want that exists in a core module than to add in something you do want.

Perhaps a custom module built with events and listeners

"Events and Listeners"

I tried building a module to address the young users concern, but its not quite right and I'm not understanding how to make it right.

I'll see if I can up with a blog post to explain it step by step next week.

I posted something very quickly here https://www.jamroom.net/garymoncrieff/blog/68/switching-things-up-jamroom-privacy-and-bullying-concerns

I have always found it easier to do longer posts as blog posts. Please all get involved in the comments area as this topic needs to be discussed.
