solved Language issue [SOLVED]

Hello,

Can someone try my site? http://sermonescristianos.net/

Is 'english' the default language for you? If so, how can I change it? I want it to load the 'spanish' language file as default.

I think that's a bug because I've already set 'Spanish' at Admin > User Accounts > Global Config > Default Language.

I'm running User Accounts module version 1.5.13

Any idea?

Thanks!

You'll either want to create a language file for your skin:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/development/541/translate-jamroom-into-another-language

Or you could go to your ACP > Skin Settings > Language tab and translate from there if you wish.

I believe you can change it in your ACP > Skins > YOURSKIN > Language section. Switch the language drop down to the language you want to use and click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.

If you've set your Admin > User Accounts > Global Config > Default Language to the language you want to use that should work for new signups. Everyone else, including the admin, will need to set their default language in their account settings.

If that doesn't work, then you'll have to clear the language cookie in your browser.

You said it should work for new signups.. but the problem is when someone arrives to my website for the first time they see the english language. I want every first visit see the spanish language. I mean, for non users.

Thanks again for your support!

Can you go to http://sermonescristianos.net? What is the default language you see? Don't use the flags please.

I see Spanish. Try deleting the browser cookies for your site in your browsers settings.

I think there is a bug either in the sckins(Nova, Media pro, or projam) since I have the same issue. No matter what language is selected in the Admin option to display. It only displays on English. The only way to change the language is if you select the correct flag. After that it works, but if the cookies are deleted, it defaults back to English.

Hola,
if i unstand correct because of the mainly spanish audience someone who comes the first time to the site should see the index page in spanish.
If someone speaks no spanish he is lost. With no English skills this is no problem IF he finds the way to change the language.

You should be able to set the DEFAULT language for the site to Spanish and that will be the "default". Note however that you must have an actual spanish translation for the skin.
