solved What BCE?

Hi,
yes its again me.:-(

My english is bad, and I want to know the meaning of this expression, I never know if I should check or not. : ECB

BCE is for more than 2000 years ago. I had to look it up, for me the terms are "bc/ad" where BC is a long time ago and now is 'ad'. But it looks like some scholars have changed the designation.

So if the date is more than 2000 years ago, then check the checkbox. otherwise dont check it.

"BCE" is the correct term to use when you do not want any religious connotation.

Hard to not have religious connotations on a date like 2000. 2000 years since what?

In japan this year its H27. 27th year of the emperor Heysei.

New emperor, new calendar. 2000 is much easier to calculate. :)
