Estimating hosting costs

I am transferring my files from Ning (downloading/archiving now) to JR. I am trying to estimate hosting prices with JR. I have a hostgator VPS but lately it has been cutting my site off a few times a day for a few minutes and they aren't sure why yet. I am leery about adding more load to it. I am already paying Ning $60 (ugh) so have the budget. If I have about 200 mb of data, but plenty I could delete and clean up, would the plan of:: 2 CPU • 2GB RAM • 48GB Disk • 3TB Transfer • $ 59 / month likely fit my needs do you think? I have many members, etc. but many are from years ago. I want to clean things up and start with a fresh look, not 5-year-old discussions. Due to your knowledge/support/features I would prefer to do hosting with JR and have you do the transfer for me, but I don't want to get in over my head with costs and I am not good at figuring out the numbers when it comes to memory, etc.

Go with the smallest one to start with, its easy to upgrade later if you need it. The smallest one has 24Gig of space so it should be plenty.

Download your Ning archive to your PC and see how big that is, if its under 24Gig, then the smallest will work.

Best thing about that is you get all the modules for free with the Jamroom Hosting, so you don't need to buy any of them.

So to get that underway, purchase the hosting from the HOSTING button on your profile.:
* https://www.jamroom.net/restmin/hosting/dashboard

and pick whichever one of these corresponds closely to the size of your Ning Archive:
* https://www.jamroom.net/ning-to-jamroom/serviceshop

and we'll get that sorted out for you. :)

Yay!
Restmin I can vouch for the best option being JR hosting for us ex-ningers.
Micheal is giving you good advice.
