Ning archiver issue

I am almost done with my download from the Ning archiver and it seems that some of the files will not download. It's not much .. maybe like 11 discussions missing, etc. from each content group. Will there be a problem when I go to upload here?

I'm not 100% sure since we can't see what the files are, but they could just be images - as long as we can get all the JSON files, it should be good.

Hope this helps!

I've not done a Ning archive download myself but from what I see there, and from what I know about the structure of the archive, I would guess that the actual Members/Groups/Discussions will still be there in the .json files, but for whatever reason, the associated images for those Members/Groups/Discussions could not be included in the archive.
The upshot is that all Members/Groups/Discussions will be imported but some of them will have missing images.
So you could Retry the download of the archive with the missing images (and likely get the same result) or just live with a few missing images on your JR site - you can always upload new ones when on JR!!

BTW - Jamroom Hosting is now open to all so you can goto your profile page and 'spin up' your server. When done, upload the archive to it as per the Ning to Jamroom docs.

Perrie, I've always had a few files that the Ning archiver said it could not get. Sometimes if you click on the 'retry' button it will zoom through them all really fast and then slow down on the missing ones, and usually it picks up a few more that way successfully. BUT there may remain a few left behind that it cannot archive. I have uploaded my ning archive into JR twice now, and the missing files never presented a problem.
