I would like to see an edit comments button next to delete-I have decided this can be made by cloning the comments module then adding the editor with settings of admin only....but I wish it was just a standard feature so we could spell check and clean up comments instead of deleting them...

Also on comments I would LOVE to have the feature Facebook has developed for comments- to where if a users comments violates the banned words- then his comment is "Grayed out" to the admin and ONLY visible to him and his friends-but change this slightly to where its only visible to him...

I too think an Edit button for comments is pretty important. Deleting someone's entire comment seems like overkill if they for example posted someone's telephone number without thinking, or included one questionable word or phrase in an otherwise fine or useful comment.
I'm hoping for the Edit Comments (on comment walls) AND Edit Discussion Posts ability for my "profile admin" moderators as well- not just for the owner/master admin.

I'm on this bandwagon! I think an update button on here is critical and should be standard. Not having that is one of the first complaints I got with my new site. And, I have needed it myself as copying, pasting into a new comment, and correcting doesn't work well--it changes the fonts to small smaller font that is hard to read. And I didn't see where the editor gives you options for font type and size. Did I miss it?

This has been released - update to User Comments 1.5.2 and you'll see the modify button on hover over your comment - next to the delete button.

Hope this helps!

Great, thank you! :)

One last thing- is there a way the admin can set a global time limit for a regular member being able to edit their own comments or posts? Sometimes problematic members will post something that gets responses and then go back and edit or change what they said- leaving others to look foolish or scratch their heads. Like 15 minutes or something, after which the edit button for users disappears? (but admins would continue being able to edit any comment) I see this a lot on sites, and it seems to be a longstanding accepted practice.
