RSS Output needed in forums

I could very well be missing something and yes, I did search the forums here but it seems only Blogs have an RSS output. This is a necessity for news, tech or political websites (imho). Any chance this can be added to forums and categories? I realize members can "follow" but it's definitely not the same as a being added in an RSS pipe.

Does anyone actually follow RSS feeds. I've not followed any in Years. Do you?

The jrFeed module will make RSS feeds for any module.

"RSS Feed Reader"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/72/rss-feed-reader

Can output RSS feeds too.

Yes we do and I've built pipes for others. It amazes me I have to build modules to enable this. I was hoping it would be something JR would enable across platform w/o having to build individually. Oh well

You don't have to build a module, just turn it on.

I do. I use a feed reader to keep track of blogs which sometimes have articles on things I am interested in, but not enough to visit regularly.

I usually check the feed reader every couple of weeks, scan quickly through the headlines and open anything that sounds interesting.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Education, learning resources, TEL, AR/VR/MR, CC licensed content, panoramas, interactive narrative, sectional modules (like jrDocs), lunch at Uni of Bristol. Get in touch if you share my current interests or can suggest better :)

I used to use one to get updates on server outages. Now I use none. If its being used, cool. Just don't want to build stuff because someone might need it. (but no-one actually uses it.)

Mines almost finished- we are moving it from JS to php tonight so we will not need the 3rd party slider service- you are welcome to look at the code if you want to see if its fit to make a module from...I will keep you updated
