solved Private Notes Bug?

I just had a new user join but I can't send them a welcome message. Their name does not appear in the drop down list when I type it in recipients.

It is working for others but not this new user. Tried full integrity check and deleted browser cache.

I did install mailgun yesterday but disabled it - in case that might have something to do with it. Issue remains though.

Go in to your User Browser, and the Profile Browser, and make sure the user is active.

Hope this helps!

Hi Brian,

That doesn't appear to be the issue. Profile active is checked and she is set to global.

Tested again, she still doesn't appear in the Private Notes dropdown.

Profile is here - http://indiegospel.net/cynthia-cindy-ann-lightfoot

I can confirm she does appear in search and also "Admin's User Profile" search.

The only thing I've done differently lately (that I can think of) is install Mailgun, although I don't know if it's related.

I'm guessing it could just be caching - do you see her now if you try to send a PN? How long is your cache length set to in the Core global config?

EDITED to add: Mailgun is not involved in any way.

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

I am at the same cache settings: Default Cache Seconds - 300 seconds

Plus I've cleared caches, run a complete Integrity check, and deleted browser cache.

I am still not seeing her.

If you are an admin user there are no restrictions - I'm not aware of any issues with it, so something unique is up. What is the USER name associated with the PROFILE name - is it different than the profile?

They are the same - identical.

You will have to send me your JR login so I can check it out - I've not seen it before so I can't say what it might be.

Thanks!

OK - coming to you.

Also, Paul took care of the JR4 issue I had, so I am initiating the hosting "slurp" over to your server today.

I won't change the logins so you will have access to both sides, to do whatever it is you need to do.

I get a TON of spam, so I just removed my email address from your post.

Thanks!

Root cause here was that she had created her name with a space at the beginning - I just removed it so it should be working now.

I'll update the user module so it "trims" the user name before storing so we won't see this again.

Hope this helps!
