Template Injection Question

I have used the template Injection module to make a twitter Bootstrap template ( unsupported I know) But my question involve the remaining Ningja-Elastic and other skins
If I switch back to Ningja as the active template- the column layout from the unsupported template is in all of them...how do I separate it so the custom template has one layout and all the others have their own default layout?

I'm not quite sure what you mean - are you trying to use 2 different skins on the site?

Thanks!

I started with the Ningja skin-then used the template injection module to change the columns to the bootstrap format- so that when I change to boostrap as default- its laid out correctly
I know I have done something wrong just dont know what it is ( I have a bunch of updates to install from JR but afraid to install them because they may have a effect on the bootstrap template)

Ahh - got it. The Template Injection is separate from the skin, so that will still "try" to work (it may not if you change the skin).

Did you do that on the "stock" jrNingJa install or did you do it on a clone of the Ningja skin?

The biggest problem with it now is If I delete content on the new BS template it deletes all the same content on all the other templates...I think down the road its going to cause a problem with the PROFILE TWEAKS module I bought that allows users to chg their layouts and select skins...

This sounds like a bug - what's the "BS" template - I'm not sure what that is but I can check it out, as it sounds like a bug.

Thanks!

You don't have that skin. But if you do, what's the problem with it?

I have the skin- its awesome- its my skills that suck but I am getting there. When I went to change to the skin I used the template injector on my Ninga skin to get the right layout....the problem is when i check Ninga back as default the bootstrap column is applied to the Ninga skin and all other skins I have...unless i uhcheck the active on the template injector- then the ninga skins and others are back to the same- but the bootstrap skin layout is messed up
My question is
Is there a way to keep these separate so bootstrap keeps the template injection and the other skins keep their column layouts?
I got the Jamroom to Bootstrap from github...( realy like it)

Hey that looks good! :)

That's going to be much more based off of ussher's skin than the bootstrap docs module, so give him the credit for that. My module there's not useful anymore (it didn't do much in the first place), and bootstrap and jamroom have changed a lot since then.

I'm still really into bootstrap (it's better than it was 2 years ago in the WiP), jamroom 5 is out of beta, my modules have evolved a bit too (or I like to think so).

I'd like more bootstrap in jamroom. The docs are great, very useful.

That skin was built before Site Builder. Im pretty sure it would take a lot of work to make site builder work with it. If you can and want to, then go for it. I would imagine it would take some time and frustration to get it working though.

Bootstrap has a bunch of classes for columns and standard jamroom skins have other classes for css that could take a bit of fiddling to get lined up.

derrickhand300:...how do I separate it so the custom template has one layout and all the others have their own default layout?....
There is the "Admin Skin" module that allows you to use a different skin in the admin area, profile area, and front section area:

"Alternate Admin Skin"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/55/alternate-admin-skin

Not sure if its what your after or not.
