Hi,

I have been trying to update the core system from version 5.2.10 to 5.2.22 but after hours and hours (I have tried 3-4 hours) of of waiting it does not complete the update.

How long is this supposed to take?

Thanks

Something is wrong. It should take just a few seconds.
Are your marketplace settings correct?
What exactly is happening when you click the update button?
Anything in the error or debug logs?
Thanks

should be much quicker than that. usually a couple of minutes if there are a lot of things to update.

Might need to download the core and upload it via FTP. Check the activity logs before that though.

Another thing to think about is how you installed it. If you installed it via 1-click softaculous, then you can update via that too.

@paul Nothing happens. I have started the update around 10am and now it's past 4 pm and the blue ball under the action item is still rotating. (ACP> Marketplace > System Updates > System Core). I just cancelled it. I have been ignoring the updates for months now because I run out of patience after a couple of hours. (I get regular email notifications for the updates) There was no problem with the 1-click installation or the updates until October 2014.

@michael I tried the update via softaculous, it says the version installed is 5.2.22 but in the ACP it's still saying 5.2.10

Would any of you like to have a look at my ACP?

Guys I ran an integrity check from the Tools and now it seems the version has been fixed.

Thank you for your prompt support. You guys are the best :)

This means your system is setup to only allow a max of 16 megabytes RAM used (per process) - most Jamroom functions will run under that, but you could have issues with some things only allowing 16mb max memory.

Just an FYI.
