When I go to my
ACP>developerTools>Tools>datastore browser,
at URL: (mysite).com/developer/browser

I get this error:
CRI: Query Error: Table 'fotmd_jamr321.jr_jrdeveloper_item_key' doesn't exist

-is this normal, or something I need to fix?
Thanks...

The Developer module doesn't have a datastore which explains that error.
Did you type that URL by hand? There should be no way to click to it via the ACP.
If you have found a way, let us know - its wrong!!

There is the database admin, but that's a very different beast at a very different URL.

Paul, I get to it via my "Quick Admin Menu" module's top menu.
I go to :

Tools>DeveloperTools>Tools>datastore browser

So...I shouldn't worry?

Also...clicking to the "database Admin" link there doesnt work either- page not found at
....(mysite).com/modules/jrDeveloper/adminer.php
Again, I got there through the top QuickAdmin menu via:
Tools>DeveloperTools>Tools>databaseAdmin

Strumelia:
ACP>developerTools>Tools>datastore browser,

This should not exist - I don't see it here, and the Developer Tools does not have a DataStore.

That's probably the issue - the Quick Admin Menu is likely not properly checking for DS support in modules. I'll check that out.

Thanks!

Paul, likely you don't recall, but a while back I asked you about how I managed to mess up my ACP dropdown menu on my site- so when it drops down it also covers up/overlaps some of its own menu options, making it impossible for me to use it much. You said you did't know how I managed to do that, but then we moved on and never fixed it. So all this time I've been using the QuickAdmin module's handy top nav menu instead, which I do like. I really would like to at some point figure out how to fix my normal ACP link drop down menu however- it's kind of lame not being able to use it. I have no idea how I managed to screw it up, or how to fix it. :-*

Brian -

I can confirm that in the Hover Admin Menu there is a Datastore Browser item above the Database Admin item in Developer Tools > Tools.

I also get the Page Not Found when clicking there to:

the "database Admin" found at
....(mysite).com/modules/jrDeveloper/adminer.php
Again, I got there through the top QuickAdmin menu via:
Tools>DeveloperTools>Tools>databaseAdmin

I updated the module and there is no longer a DataStore browser link in the Developer Tools > Tools menu and the link to Database Admin does take you to the adminer page.

--- edited to add ---

Is there a datastore browser for user profiles?

Yeah there is - and I can see the module is not picking that up. I'll check it out.

Ah!- and lo and behold, there is my databaseadmin browser! Never saw it before because of my screwed up ACP menu (which remains screwed up). :) Thanks!

...And now I can see WHY my integrity checks always hang for about two or three minutes when it gets to jr_comment_item_key (!):

Since it is an InnoDB table those numbers aren't actually correct - refresh and you're likely to get a different number. But you have a lot!

It's there - it's called "Browse User Accounts". Since the User module provides an "override" for the core browser it has it's own name. I was looking right at it and did not see it.

But I don't know why my full inegrity checks and repairs used to take so LITTLE time- a minute for everything. Then after the business with the threaded jrcomments being removed from my templates becuase they were causing me to crash and burn or something....since that update with threaded comments, I get this HUGE amount of time for any integrity check, and always hanging on that item. I'm just hoping this isn't going to be a permenant situation. I honestly don't really believe that comment number, since I trimmed my site so much before importing, and since the integrity check USED TO zip along real fast and beautifully before that threaded update...when everyuthign changed for me. :(

No it's not. The problem is that the integrity check needs to add some keys in to your comment table in order to properly support threading. It is that DB Query that is causing your integrity check to hang, and it is because you are on the lowest end hosting plan that won't let that query run properly.

Brian -

Users > User Accounts > Tools > Browse User Accounts takes ME to
http://www.mysite.tld/user/browser

This is not the same as the datastore browser.

It's there - when viewing the User or Profile browser (which overrides the default DataStore browser) click on "View Keys" in the header to view the raw DataStore entries.

Hope this helps!
