Do you mean the User Accounts module? That's part of the Jamroom Core and not an individual module (at least not for individual download) - that's already part of your install.

Hope this helps!

Well i'm not sure if i set it up right but when someone signs up with facebook and regular signup they are a regular user not an artist...i wanted different signups for artist and fans and i thought i needed a certain module for that. How do I set that up ?

Ahh - yeah that's handled by the User Profile module. While logged in as the master admin, go to the ACP -> Users -> Quota Browser. "User Groups" are called Quotas in Jamroom - so you'd want to create a quota called "fans", one called "artists", etc.

Then - in the Quota Config make sure you Allow Signups. When JR sees that you have more than 1 Quota that allows signups, the user will be able to select the Quota they want to signup to when they create their account.

Hope this helps!

Hi,
I didnt know about the Quotas but thank you for informing me on that it helped. I've added artist, fan it seems when you use the facebook signup, twitter etc and check the artist field i created it signs a member up as a regular member not an artist that can upload music. I've also made it so artists can upload music so thats not the problem. I think that maybe a problem with the automatic signon with fb and twitter but for now I wont use facebook signup. I hope someone looks into it on the next updates.

Michael,
Thanks on that video I already learned how to do those things on the video. I have it working but still on sign up I dont think anyone understands the problem im facing. Lets say there is "Artist" (can upload music), "Producer" (can upload music) and "Fan"( CANNOT upload music) as the different sign ons. You go to create a new account and you select producer and then hit the facebook sign on after that. It logs you to facebook but the problem is you can't upload music because it somehow automatically signs u up as a fan. It doesnt sign u up as producer which is what you wanted to sign up as to begin with. I'm aware you can change the person from fan to producer but I feel I shouldnt have to do that for each user that signs up with facebook. If you do not face this problem please show me what you did to not face it. Thanks.

I can see what your saying. The module change logs say that that issue should be fixed:
Quote: "Version 1.1.0
- Signup using OneAll now grabs the correct Quota ID the user has selected on the Signup page.
- Singup using an existing User Name now prompts to update User Name in user account."

So make sure you have the most up-to-date version of the oneall module.

I was able to recreate what your saying, it didn't matter what I selected from the drop-down menu, the signup would always go into the default one.

This was happening for me because the javascript that updates that info jrOneAll_set_quota_id() was not found.

Running the integrity check fixed this issue.

SUGGESTION: run the integrity check and see if that fixes it for you.

Ok I did that but now when I sign on the fb signon is accepted and redirects me to my website like it should then it shows another create account screen on my website and at the top its in red saying click here to send the confirmation email and you cant even click it. Once I sign up again I see facebook still not activated and it allows me to go to shared networks in the account and activate it. I dont know what the problem is

Make sure you are testing with an account that was not already been setup in your system - you can't "signup" again with an email address that already exists in the system - it will just log you in.

Is that what you are seeing?

If you can try to be really clear and concise and outline the exact steps you are taking then we can try to reproduce it here.

Thanks!

Yeah something doesn't sound right there - are you sure you have configured things in your OneAll control panel:

https://app.oneall.com/

properly for Facebook?

You can post your site URL here and we can try signing up as well.

Hope this helps!

Yes oneall is correct because it let me sign on before I did the integrity check I was just facing that problem of it assigning the test user as a regular member after the integrity check it won't sign on u can check it at exposehits.com sign up as an artist or producer thanks.

I'm getting this for the Twitter signup:

[Site:Expose Hits] Could not connect to Twitter
Please verify the Twitter configuration of your Site.
If you are the owner of Expose Hits, you can fix this error here: Setup Twitter Configuration

So make sure that is configured in OneAll's control panel. I'll try Facebook too.

I just signed up for Facebook and it worked - it did not grab my image though, but that could be due to my privacy settings or CURL may not have been able to download the image on your server (check your Activity logs).

Signup worked no problem though.

Hope this helps!

Okay I signed up again, but don't see a "songs" option, so I'm guessing it did not put me in the Artist quota?

This should be working though - I'm not seeing any Javascript issues to let me know that it's a JS error, so I'm wondering if JS in the skin is interfering with it in some way.

Can you send me your Jamroom admin login and password and FTP login and password to brian [at] jamroom [dot] net so I can check it out?

Thanks!

Actually I believe I found the root cause of this (I was using Chrome and able to duplicate it here on my local install) - I just uploaded version 1.1.2 to the Marketplace that should fix this up - go into your Marketplace -> System Updates section and update to the latest One All module and let me know if that fixes it for you.

Hope this helps!

Yes - FoxyCart requires a monthly subscription when you want to go "live".

If you have any questions about it, make sure and start a new thread - this one is getting pretty long :)

Yes. There has been much discussion on this forum over the past few months about FoxyCart. Search the forum and check out some of the threads. Also, check the link below. It has all information about FC as well as a video detailing our reasons for choosing it.

Something strange going on there. When I try to login with twitter from here:
http://exposehits.com/user/signup

It seams to go through all the steps to sign me up, but then returns to
http://exposehits.com/user/signup

with this in red:
Quote: Click here to have your Activation Email resent to you

You can't click on it, so it feels like the language string should be something else.

Is there anything in the activity log or php error log or debug log?

The change I made had nothing to do with the provider - it was a JS update that just made the "grabbing" of the quota_id from the signup page work properly.

Are you sure you've set up Twitter properly on the OneAll control panel?

I'll do some tests here and see if I can spot what might be happening.

Thanks!

Okay looks like the root cause here is that Twitter is not returning the email address for the user, which JR requires. It's not redirecting to the error correctly though, which is why it's redirecting to the signup page and is messed up.

I'll see if I can find out why Twitter is not returning the email and get the error fixed up too.

Okay this should be working now - it turns out Twitter does not provide an email address via their connection, so now the OneAll module will properly create the account, but redirect the user to their User Settings page and highlight the email address field and ask them to provide an email.

Update to version 1.1.3 of the OneAll module for your Marketplace -> System Updates and this should work now.

Hope this helps!

I just tested this out with Facebook and I am not seeing any issues:

- I signed up with Facebook - my account was all created and I was logged in - I was prompted to enter a new password (which I did).
- I logged out of the system
- I clicked on "login", then clicked on Facebook and was logged back in to the right account.
- I logged out again
- I clicked on login and this time entered my username and password manually and it worked.
- I logged out again and then back in with the Facebook login and it worked.

So it all seems to be working properly here. When you say it does not do anything, are you click on the facebook icon to log in on the login page? You should see a popup prompt where it says it is loading and redirecting facebook.

Hope this helps!

Ok. The manual entering of the username and password always works like you did but the login in with facebook itself after sign up is just directs me to the homepage. I've tried different facebook logon since i have 2 both same problem. Where the 3rd step above on the steps you took when you click on "login" then click on facebook it goes through the process of login in only to show the homepage with me not logged in. Its really annoying.

I'm not sure - since I can't replicate it here it is hard to tell - it may be something on Facebook's end (there a literally dozens of options when setting up an app on facebook).

I thought I had your login info from before, but can't seem to find it here - can you resend it to me? I don't have time to do it this evening but will check it out for you in the AM when I am in my office.

Okay this is all working now - the root cause took me a bit to figure it out, but it was due to your server's underlying "Mime Type" detection functions were returning "jfif" as the extension for the downloaded image (instead of jpeg/jpg). Turns out "jfif" is a perfectly valid JPG file extension, so I've added support for that into the next release of the Core (it's fixed on your site right now).

The next issue was that the OneAll was not able to successfully delete "old" linkup data due to a bug in the DataStore module not getting the proper ID in the jrCore_db_delete_item() passed into the trigger - this is also fixed in the next jrCore release. This was causing occasional re-login issues due to it finding the wrong link up data - it probably would not really be an issue once normal users are using the system, but during testing when you are creating/deleting user accounts it would appear.

So you should be set now.

Any additional issues, let's start a new post thread - this one is very long.

Thanks!
