solved Installed Comet Chat - Got Errors

On installation these errors showed up. Functionally, the bar shows up doesn't recognize anyone as signed in, and doesn't provide a way to login.

I went as far as building a module for CometChat and offering to help with integration but so far they have not come up with anything.

Last I heard was back in November:

Going to need to contact them about issues with their software.

They even have a drop down menu on their demo site where you can select "Jamroom" as the environment when you use their live chat demo on their site...and of course it works perfectly.
Dang! My moderators tested the CC demo on the Comet site and they gave it their stamp of approval- I thought my chat problem was solved and I was going to install it in a couple of weeks.

I'm not saying it doesn't work, just they keep their setup instructions for their customer. It might need something done to set it up.

What I wanted to happen was have it installable via the marketplace system so its 1-click hassle free install. That parts just not ready yet. If they gave you instructions to set it up, follow them.

Ah, I see, ok thank you. I hope Ken gets his sorted out, will be watching.

They need to update the integration file, but they have manually solved this for other members, have you contacted their support about it? They will need access to your server.

I think Ken just needs to setup the CometChat correctly - this here:


Means you're trying to use the wrong server - instead of "localhost" try using "127.0.0.1".

They went into my c-panel and did something. It's working but there are a couple of things I don't like.

One has to login to the network by password, if you use OneAll Social login, Comet Chat doesn't recognize you as logged in.

I've got the version that connects to Facebook and Gplus chat. I don't like if you send someone a link they can't open it.

Comet Chat adds a bunch of gobble-de-goop after the url. So indiegospel.net becomes indiegospel.net/xyxyxyxyx and won't open.

I've let them know, no response yet on either issue.

Those two issues have been resolved. Comet Chat is working properly on my network now.

Sending links to Facebook works as expected, and the OneAll social login is being recognized now and also logs one into chat.

I can only assume they will incorporate their fixes into their Jamroom release for all. I also reminded them that Michael had a one click marketplace install module available to them, which could help with JR sales.
