Make jamroom a better server streaming software where you can add albums singles and mixtape. after months and spending money i got upset and deleted jamroom this morning.

it need some ajax like feature for contentious audio play while you browse and all the current skin just look dated.

it should look something like this http://themeforest.net/item/musik-music-web-application-template/full_screen_preview/7831557

also need some membership feature where they can pay for different membership levels to download music

- Jamroom supporta albums, singles and I'm guessing "mixtapes" (not 100% sure what that is). If it can be represented by a music file, then JR supports it.

- I agree this would be cool, but we don't support this at this time.

- Style is really varied across sites - we try to present designs that are easy to customize.

- Jamroom already supports this.

Sorry it hasn't worked out for you - hopefully you can find something that suits your needs better.

Thanks!

That's the issue I cant find any good substitute why I hold on for so long trying with jamroom. you know how much people I see on codecanyon looking for this type of updated script.

I'm trying a new script on my site i not too long installed www.jatune.com but its not mobile responsive and seem like the developer haven't updated it in a while.

Jamroon does this but I dont know how to explain it, it just was not simplified for site hosting music and user guess. just felt old like something i'll look at once and not return

The hardest one is your #2 - having audio that plays all over the site. I've actually worked on this, but there's only 2 ways to do it:

- make the entire site an AJAX based "single page app" so you're never really going to different pages. These types of sites have horrible SEO though (all the "history" and "URL" hacks to make real URLs are finicky and prone to errors). This also makes it much harder for our customers to customize their site

- Make the "audio engine" popup on a window, which the user minimizes, then the actual audio is targeted through this open window. This is how we will eventually handle it in Jamroom since it will fit in better with existing designs and functionality.

It's a lot of work and there are quite a number of issues that our customers have made higher priority for us.

With skin customization a priority I've yet to see a really good skin to me. I found a ok one with skin8 then they up and stop designing for jamroom and I struggle to edit the design to make it look right.

Like the video section is not really a video section you have to post the video on the artiste profile for it to go in the video section. it should have a dedicated video section and u can tie it to the artiste if you like

some mordern looking skin and usability is needed especially since a lot of people got use to spotify and rdio

If y'all made something like this http://jodacame.com/demos/yme/ im sure sales would triple. the only thing missing from this one is the ability to upload song to the server instead of pulling it from youtube and lastfm

The vast majority of our customers want to create community sites - i.e. a site about basketweaving :) This means they want profiles that contain blogs, forums, discussions, images, etc - you'd be surprised how many sites are not using Audio at all.

If you're trying to make an rdio or spotify clone, then your best bet is likely to create something custom from the ground up. Jamroom is very heavily "profile centered", and it looks like you're more interested in creating an internet radio station where the songs, videos, etc. are curated or handled by you. Jamroom can do that, it's just not setup like that "out of the box", and it would take a completely custom skin to make it all appear seamless. It's actually not hard, but I get the feeling you're hoping to get something "out of the box" that works for you, which is why Jamroom may not be the best fit for what you're looking for.

I'd try contacting the author of the script you've posted and see if they do custom work.

Hope this helps!

Hey kingrex45
Did you try at least to ask for help in the forum to try to do some custom work on ur site before you delete it...
Would had been nice to see a link of the site to see where you have gotten to so far...
I checked out those links you posted of those skins. ..they are really not much different than what jamroom offers.
You just needed a designer to make what you need happen out of the box.
Jamroom gives you everything..The platform itself that is needed to make that happen. Which can lead to an awesome skin of your own and an awesome site . You shouldn't give up that quick if it only been a few months you been working on it...and don't look to much at the money part that was spent...everything takes money to start
