I was looking around the docs and couldn't find anything about bridging 2 Jamrooms or any Forum bridges.

Is there still the ability to bridge 2 JR sites?

Any forum bridges in the works? IPB?

No docs because no-ones built a bridge to anything yet. I wrote a bunch of the docs, but don't know how to build a bridge.

So if someone who wants a bridge, builds a bridge, I can document it. Just haven't done it yet.

I would imagine that the event listeners would make this pretty simple?

Yeah - a bridge in JR5 should be easier than JR4 - we just haven't made any yet.

I remember in the old JR there were a bunch of forum bridges available. I believe a lot of people loved using an external forum with their JR site.

I'm not in the need of bridging two JR sites, but I figured asking about that in my bridge thread would be appropriate.

A Joomla Bridge in JR5 will be an awesome idea since some of us already use Joomla as their main CMS.

Now why would you do that? ;)

For user integration (users single login, no need to login twice) and single registration (users registered through Joomla will automatically be added to JR database or vice-versa). Also single forum sharing etc.

Remember that JR must be the primary login/signup for your users in order for any bridge to properly work - it can't be Joomla as the front end.

Just an FYI.

Will it technically be difficult to get the login/signup work when JR is not used as the front end? Are there limitations? I am not a coder. Just asking. ;)

That's not something we can do, as that requires all the modifications be made to Joomla, which we don't do.
