UrlScan module?

Hey Guys

Curious why this module doesn't detect image urls and then show them in the post?

The module doesn't actually detect anything - it sends out an event trigger so other modules can properly handle their own items. It should work on Gallery images - but I can check it out.

Ah gotcha, was just curious as I paste links here to tinypic.com and the images weren't showing inline.

Ahh - that's an "offsite" URL, so we'd have to have a handler specific to TinyURL to "know" it's an image URL. Might be an update to URLscan to allow you to define URL "types" so we can have support for URLs without having to make a TinyURL "module" just so it can contain a listener... kind of a cool idea :)
