Paid acces module?

Hello,

I have a Ning network (2.0) and am happy with it. Unfortunately, I am unsure of how the 3.0 version will play out and am looking for alternatives just in case. I have a closed membership site and was wondering if there were any plans for Jamroom to offer a paid access feature and possibly a zipcode search.

That would be awesome and a great deal maker for me.

Thanks!

Welcome to Jamroom Tyler!

Jamroom does have subscription quotas that allow you to charge for user accounts.

I'm not exactly sure what your looking for on the zipcode search, but you can create new fields for the user account or profile that will allow your users to add a zip code. And all fields can be searched, it may not be setup like that out of the box but can be modified at the template level to do so.

Hope this helps! :)

Hi Tyler
There is also a Google maps module for Jamroom that will embed a map based on a zip code search. Maybe that would help?

Hullo Paul, I am on Ning 3 with over 14,000 members. Any clue on how I can move to Jamroom?

Hi @Dunamis - Welcome to the Jamroom forums.
At the moment, we can only import from archives created by Ning2 sites.
As I understand it, the archiver tool for Ning3 sites is still in development by Ning. When it is available, we will then look at the files it creates to see how they may be imported into Jamroom.
Hope this helps
Paul
