I've just finished uploading and setting up the new Ning specific modules into the Marketplace and have created a special Bundle for Ning Users:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/bundle/18/ning-to-jamroom

Right now it is $99 for early adopters, and that will include professional import assistance from us (while it still in "beta"). We really wanted to get this new bundle online as early as we could, as it allows sites to easily update to newer versions of these modules as we release them (we are actively working on these quite a bit right now).

The bundle includes 14 different modules and skins that together go for $238, so there's a savings of $139 by buying the bundle. We super appreciate all the early support you all have shown us, and this bundle will help us gauge the Ning To Jamroom interest from users that may not be participating in the discussions here.

For everyone that is already running these modules on your site, please contact us at support [at] jamroom [dot] net as we will need to manually add these modules and skins to your account so you can update them going forward. If not, your purchase and support of our work to make migrating from Ning to Jamroom super smooth is really appreciated.

If anyone has any questions, please let us know and we will follow up ASAP.

Thanks!

One thing I forgot to add is that here on Jamroom.net all new skins and modules are "exclusive" to Jamroom subscribers for the first 15 days after they are released - so this bundle will become available to all users 15 days from now - if you'd like to support the Jamroom team by becoming a subscriber, it's only $29 per year:

https://www.jamroom.net/subscribe

and gets you access to Backstage + early module and skin access (including this new Ning bundle).

We appreciate your support!

Brian, I assume this is the bundle I have installed by Paul on my site already? So I need not do anything concerning adding anything new right now, correct? thanks...

That's right - we'll get them added to your account so that you can update them as they are developed further.

I was assuming this bundle would be available in our marketplace after 14 days, or is it available now?
Thanks

Thanks

It is available now to Jamroom subscribers, and will be available in 14 days to non-subscribers as well. So right now, if you are not a subscriber, you won't see any of the Ning modules or bundle in your Marketplace (in your Jamroom install).

Hope this helps!

I purchased the ning bundle yesterday and subscribed but I don't see the results of that purchase on my site. Can't find the new skin.

If you are logged in to your site, you'll want to do this:

- click on ACP
- click on the "Marketplace" link in the left module menu
- click on the "Bundles" tab
- you should be able to click "Install" on the "Ning To Jamroom" bundle

If that does not work, click on the "Skins" tab and you should be able to install the "NingJa" skin right there.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Brian for that immediate attention and thank you Paul for doing that for me. You all are fantastic. I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed with all this.

Done it.
Just so you, and anyone else reading this knows, goto ACP=>Marketplace=>Tools=>MarketplaceCredentials and click on Modify next the Jamroom entry in the top table. Enter your credentials. You find them on your profile page here, in the update section (gearwheel icon) in the Licences tab.

Because you already have all the Bundle modules already installed and up to date, they will not show in the updates section. There is a User Profile module update showing though so just click on the button to do that.

Do you mean clone the site skin? If so it is:

ACP -> Tools -> Developer Tools -> Clone Skin

Hope this helps!

It is...not to me. I have no idea what to do and I'm feeling quite overwhelmed. I only cloned the new skin because several people said to do that before I did anything else. I'm giving up for today and will have to start listing questions, watching more videos, or hire someone before I can make anything look decent. Still believe this is the best way to go but it isn't a snap. Hope you are making good progress?

I am reading and trying to learn a little bit every day. I know the JR team is re-working some of the JRNing modules right now so holding off on organizing my site yet. Everything is so different than Ning, and I have a whole lot to learn.

Baby steps. But I am very optimistic, because I think the JR Team may be an unbeatable force. The Fantastic Four. :)

Love that the "fantastic four". Yes that is my procedure too and I know that there are some changes coming. I hope in the next few weeks to get clear enough to ask for some help. I'm pretty confident that we're on the right track. Need a bit more patience.
