Hi Team!
Got another one for you ;-)
Everytime I save a template using the editor, this error shows up in the logs:
[admin]: jrCore_load_url: https://www.barklycommunity.org/googleanalytics/test_template/1414060405.tpl returned code 0 - error #35 (error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol)

This one is just for google analytics, yet does the same with other modules.
However, nothing seems to be wrong as the edits work.
Cheers, David.

So when you "save" a template, Jamroom loads up the version you are going to save as a test template and makes sure the syntax is correct - if it gets an error back, then it does NOT save it (since that could make your site inaccessible).

The most likely root cause of this error is that "curl" in your PHP install on your server has not been compiled with OpenSSL support - that is needed for Curl to load https: URLs. So contact your hosting provider and have them add OpenSSL support to your PHP install and that should work.

Hope this helps!

Curl is compiled with OpenSSL/1.0.1e and is on your recommended hosting arvixe.com
Does it on my localhost as well with OpenSSL/1.0.1g.
Should I still contact my provider?

Does it happen every time or was it a one time hiccup?

Something is wrong then, or misconfigured - contact Arvixe and have them check it out as you should not see that. I can see your SSL certificate is valid, so that should be working.

Hope this helps!

Hi Brian,
Here's the response from Arvixe:

Hey David,
thank you for contacting Arvixe! Could you please check your settings on your jamroom?
Please check http://stats.caiman.arvixe.com/phpinfo.php
and look for cURL. It has SSL support.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Hmm.. not quite the response I was expecting. You'll want to ask them WHY there is an SSL error when loading an https URL via PHP. We can see that SSL is enabled, but it's not working.

OK - let me get on their case about this, as it's obvious they are not actually looking at the issue correctly.

Can you do me a favor? What I'd like to do is setup a really simple "test" script on your server to clearly show the issue - can you contact me at support [at] jamroom [dot] net with your FTP info if that is OK with you?

Thanks!

New message from Arvixe:

Hello David,

we apologize for the issue you are experiencing so far. We're waiting for the Brian to contact us.
Meanwhile we just checked the SSL for your domain: no error there: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=barklycommunity.org

Thank you,
