I am getting error"wave file should be a PCM file" when i try to upload audio; even uploading mp3 files. System check shows all ok and did integrity check. What would generate this error?

I've never seen that error before - it sounds like it is coming from the FFMPeg decoder. Can you try a different audio file type, or upload a WAV directly and see if you see that error? That let's us know if the issue is with the MP3 files.

Hope this helps!

I think we found it. It was a custom module that generates our waveform. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'd recommend keeping a "stock" JR system just for instances like this - to help you narrow down where the issue might be. I know you're customizing a lot of things, and it will save us from having to go investigate an issue that is out of our system, or help you find that it's not related to the work you've done.

Thanks!
