Brian,

I bought a license from you in 2009 (long time I know) I was operating as musicfinity.net and now wish to start again using the old license, I was on 4.2.7 when I left and had alot of extras. I was with JB Servers.net, but see you now recommend arvixe.

Can i contact you soonest by email so we can go through what I can do. I had the full professional license, but thought you could verify and help out.

Welcome back to Jamroom!

You can find all your old JR4 stuff on the Archive site:

http://archive.jamroom.net/

Note that JR4 is no longer maintained, and I would highly recommend JR5 if you're starting up again.

Let us know if you have any questions and we can help ;)

Thanks!

Brian, besides the core what do I need to support the old functionality covered by version 4.

I'm looking at covering single artists / bands and provide tracking, website, audio, video upload and playing, followers.

what's the most cost effective way to do it. i've been trying to work with arvixe, but its a long process, if I were to use jb servers or someone else do you still support things, please advise as I wish to get things going and get online. you were always great in the past so looking from your subscription support if you do that as well. please advise .

Yep - no problem ;)

So here's what you want to do:

1) The JR5 Core is free, so you can download and get started on that right away if you want to play around with it and check it out. We have many, many modules - a lot of them are free as well, and can easily be installed right from within JR5 - no need to FTP anything.

2) Since you're a JR4 license holder, we offer a special deal - the "Jamroom 5 Super Pack":

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/bundle/9/super-pack

for $50 off the regular price ($149 versus $199) - this gives you a lot of the functionality you had in JR4 with the different add on packs (i.e. power pack, payment pack, etc.) - if you'd like to take advantage of that send us an email to support [at] jamroom [dot] net and we can send you a custom invoice for it.

3) If you're unsure of installing the new Jamroom 5, or would just like to have us take care of getting it all setup, we offer our Install Service from here:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/serviceshop

4) And finally, if you're looking for ticket based support we offer the VIP Premium Support subscription for $29 per month:

https://www.jamroom.net/subscribe

we also have a $29 per year subscription that gets you access to new modules and skins early, as well as access to the Backstage forum (which are also included in the $29 per month subscription).

Let me know if that helps out or if you have any additional questions.

Hope this helps!

Brian, thanks very much and that's great. But I don't have the license info can you attach it to this new account and can we progress that way and what do I do about hosting as i'm having some issues with arvixe.

Whom would you rather work with arvixe or jbservers, or what do you suggest I do as I plan to use your support as well.

Kind Regards

Ren

Do you mean your Jamroom 4 license info? If so, you should be able to log in to the Archive site and access your account. If you mean JR5, then any licensing happens as part of installing items from the Marketplace within your JR5 install.

I'd recommend Arvixe as well - they have a ton of plans - everything from cheap shared hosting all the way up to dedicated servers, and a lot in between, so can help you when you need to grow.

Hope this helps!

problem is I can't remember my old login so can't access my old license, can you help and/or can I still get discount without it.

advise as I would like you to reload for me (eventhough) arvixe already have and loadup the super pack and add-on your subscription fee for doing so.

as you say send me an invoice and you can do as soon as you are able, nothing has been loaded yet.

please advise soonest.

Do you remember what your username was on the archive site? If so I can reset it for you.

I will send out a custom invoice for you then that contains:

- JR5 Super Pack
- install service

and we can get you all setup.

Hope this helps!

I think I know what account is yours - do you still have your Gmail account? If so, contact us at support [at] jamroom [dot] net with your Gmail account (which I believe is tied to your archive account) so we can confirm.

Hope this helps!

You don't actually need it, but if you remember your username down the road we can always get your access set back up.

Hope this helps!

You will want to send us the domain you want to use - i.e. the one on the hosting account that you'd like us to set Jamroom up on.

Thanks!

Should be good to go now.

Log in as the admin user, then go here:
http://infinetserv-music-room.com/marketplace/browse

You have the super pack license, so you can install any of the modules from that pack that you want. You don't have to install them all. Each license is valid for use on up to 2 domains so you can use them wherever you like.

To install a module click on the INSTALL button next to it.

eg: on that url ( http://infinetserv-music-room.com/marketplace/browse ) the top module is the "Video Support" module which reads:
Quote:
you have a license
Free
INSTALL

Click it to install it, then click the checkbox and save to activate it.

Once its activated, go to the QUOTA CONFIG tab to choose which of the quotas are allowed to use it on their profile.

Repeat for whichever modules you want to give your users.

If you get stuck, ask here.
