Disable audio sample

Is there a way to disable the audio sample? I want to create a lower bitrate mp3 of the full song as the audio sample.

Right now you can't disable it, but I've added this as a future option for the audio module.

Ok. While you're at it, it would be much better if we could let the user
A. upload custom sample
B. Specify the start and end time to create a clip from the whole song.

That is significantly more work than just enabling/disabling creating a sample.

- for "custom sample" you could create a custom audio field for that - no need for module support
- specifying start/end time could get complicated, as it would mean having to "reprocess" the audio if they change their mind, etc. - I think that would also make the audio create/update forms more confusing then they already are, so this would best be handled as a custom module for your needs.
