The message contact form not working

When not logged in I get

"Please enter the message you would like to send and we will get back to you ASAP."

there is no form to write in

Sounds like you might have set the field in the form designer to show to specific quotas or logged in users only.

Change the field in the form designer to not show to specific quotas or logged in users only.

If you have the custom form module, and it is active, try changing your contact link from yoursite.com/contact_us to yoursite.com/form/contact_us

I jut realize I like the way the form works .

The visitors get."Please enter the message you would like to send and we will get back to you ASAP."

I want to change it to "please logs in to leave a message we will get back to you ASAP..

And when the user is logged in to, "Please enter the message you would like to send and we will get back to you ASAP."


I cant find form designer, where do I find it ?

I did that ,

How do I make when the user is logged in you see "Please enter the message you would like to send and we will get back "

instead of "please logs in to leave a message we will get back to you ASAP.. "

go to acp > skins > select your skin > click templates >
search for "please enter" and you should see it come up in the contact_us.tpl

when you have a jr site you should clone the skin and then your skin is never updated until you decide to do it.

Your edits/modifications done the way Dazed has explained will not be lost after updates.

As long as you modify templates and CSS files through the ACP templates/styles sections, they will always be there and updates will not effect them. However... if one of your modified files has been updated, then you'll have to compare your modified file with the updated file and decide if you need that update in your modified file.

Hope that makes sense.

I'm not sure what you mean by this?

If you go to yoursite/form/contact_us there should be a form designer button at the top right.

and when there not , they see " please log in to leave a message

I was thinking if form designer was on the contact page you could ass more field ,i.e., location, country " phone numbers " and make this feature possible....
