The Mp3 importer still not working . I re imported the audio tracks and set stream length to 45 sec. and the songs still plays full length with price set to $1.00

Check your queue depth - samples and conversions are all done via a "queue", which means they are not immediately created (otherwise you might sit there and have to keep your browser open for hours).

So basically everything gets queued up, and the queue workers do the actual work of creating the conversions (which includes the sample).

You can view your queue depth in the dashboard.

I just checked ol mates links and they play the full song in the audio player
Just a heads up as I think zhmel is after only allowing 45 seconds of play etc.
But yeah they play the whole song

@MAD© thanks , I bin going through this and remember an earlier version was working and after the upgrade it stopped working and plaid the full length

Yeah I can see they are playing full length on your site, but I can't replicate it here. The reason would have to be because the SAMPLE file is not getting creating for some reason - i.e. your ffmpeg is not working, server is overloaded, etc.

Instead of a temp file that uses more disk space , why not have a command / code that stops the player at the time the admin allow i.e. stop at 30 sec.

1:if user purchase the track the user can play full length or when logged in as admin

2:if user purchase $10 subscription the user have access to play the amount the admin specify ..

These features was in the JR4 system and would be good to see them in JR5

Because anything that is only in code can be bypassed and the entire file downloaded. That's why the sample file is a different file - if they download it all they get is a sample. Plus, we want to be able to apply fade in / fade out to the sample so it sounds more professional.

Can you create an utility to create the sample files ? and I don't under stand why it worked in an earlier version of JR5 and now stopped

The sample files are already part of a utility - the conversion process. I've just tested this again here, specifically using the paypal module, and everything is working 100%.

What type of files are you importing? Are they MP3 files? What bit rate are they?

I downloaded that song from your website, then uploaded it to my test server. It correctly created the mp3 sample at the 30sec i had set.

in the activity log there was this entry:
Quote: [admin] : converted 1/59/audio_file from mp3 to MP3 in 1.83 seconds

all worked fine.

When you use your browser tools it don't work,
when you upload images to this forum it don't work,
when you try to post code it doesnt really work either because you upload a screenshot of the code,
when you use the foolproof installer it don't work,
when you use the foolproof acp skin styler it don't work,
and foxycart really doesn't work for you.

Could be a pattern emerging, but a little early to tell.

I've tried with 128K MP3 files here, and it is working for me. If you upload a brand new 128K MP3 file to a profile, and set it for sale @ 1.00 does the sample file get created?

everything works until I try to import 600 mp3's with the importer, the importer dose not overwrite files or import them .


What I don't understand is "why the stream length worked with an earlier version of JR5"
and now not working
