I recently tried to set up the form designer to work with seperate quotas in a way that displayed the correlating genre with the JR quota. So artist quota only can see artist genres and producers quota can only see producers genres for audio however it seems that the form designer dosent allow individual quotas to be set. Is there a way to do this that I am not understanding? Is this functionality not available via form designer? Thanks.

If i set all the genres up for Artist on in the form designer and select it viewable by artist quota, then also set up the producer ones and save them viewable for producer quota it overwrites the artist ones also.

Heres my documentation im trying to create so people can easily set up there genres https://www.jamroom.net/b360/documentation/skins/1816/flagship-skin

did you try creating 2 separate form fields. One for artists and the other one for producers. or are you trying to do 2 things on a single form field?

Yes I tried to create 2 independent {options} genre listings viewable by the correlating quota when uploading. One display group was for "artists" and one was for "producers". The part that is confusing is there is a display groups box there. I thought they would work with the quotas?

If so what am i doing wrong to configure genre options by Jamroom Quotas. So artists can view their options for genres and producers quota can view their own set of options?

I tried to create the artists. Then tried to create the producers quota genre list. Each was set to view only their quota. However when i created the producer one it erases the artist options.
Artist Genres
Acoustic|Acoustic
Blues|Blues
Classical|Classical
Country|Country
Dubstep|Dubstep
Easy Listening|Easy Listening
Electronic|Electronic
Jazz|Jazz
Latin|Latin
Mix Tape|Mix Tape
New Age|New Age
Pop|Pop
Rap|Rap
Reggae|Reggae
Rnb|R&B
Religious|Religious
Rock|Rock
Vocal|Vocal

Producer Genres
Club|Club Beats
Dirty South|Dirty South Beats
Eastcoast|Eastcoast Beats
Gangsta|Gangsta Beats
Reggaeton|Reggaeton Beats
Trap|Trap Beats
Underground|Underground Beats
Westcoast|Westcoast Beats

There independent quotas and I was trying to only allow their quota to view their correlating genre.

audio_options_producers
audio_options_artists

After messing with it further before this video.. I don't think it was designed on your end to do what i'm trying to do with the quotas. So I think this ends up being a suggestion for quota support to be added to the Form Designer.

I can see this very useful to all in a lot of different applications.

The Form Designer already works with quotas - just select the quotas you want to see the form field in the "Display Groups" section when modifying the field.

Thanks!

The form designer is missing quota support. "Display groups" Is cool but dosent work like the rest of the Jamroom system. I was referring to the basic structure of the quota config system in any Jamroom module. This would be a good asset to The Form Designer so it works well with Jamroom and quotas.

Just a suggestion here to improve the system. This was my first go round with the from designer. I was setting it up so customers can use the form designer to set up their site. I realized it was missing quota support and at first thought it was an error but it was designed with out it. If you watch the video I have included above it did try to use the "Display Views" with the correlating quotas however it will not work with different "options" for different quotas. you can only select different "display views" to the option.

I have no idea what you mean. The form designer already works with Quotas - you can select form 1 (or more) quotas that you want the field to display to. How else would it 'work with quotas'?

I updated above

I've read the above, and it's not clear to me what the issue is. The display groups field is design to limit who gets to see the field. Therefore, if you create a new custom field and assign it to only be viewable by one of your quotas, that is the only group that will see it. That is exactly what the "Display Groups" options does, and was designed for.

If you can clarify the issue you are seeing, I can possibly recommend an alternate way for you to go about it.

Thanks!

Did you see the video i posted? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRIChBf_RCs Its showing two different quotas needing different "options" viewable for genres.

So artist quotas see only artist genres and producers quotas see only producers genres or "options". Currently with how the Form Designer is set up you have to input all genres for all quotas to the options.

The problem is that you can not seperate the "options" by quotas viewing the form. What I am suggesting is to have different quotas have different "options" for the form designer.

This would also be valuable for other areas other then just genres.

That's correct - in that case you would need to create 2 different fields - i.e.

audio_genre_artists
audio_genre_producers

and show them to the appropriate quota.

Hope this helps!
