This forum is setup on a profile page called the-Jamroom-network.

Create a profile called something like community, put in it's own quota, enable forum for only this quota.

Install profile tweaks on your site, enable for community profile and set the profile temple to elastic2 (if your not using elastic2 for entire site).

Make sure you are changing it for the right skin, if you have multiple installed make sure the active one is the style your editing.

I just tested color picker and it works fine for me.

Glad you got it, just remember if you plan a lot of changes you're better off cloning the skin as these will get overwritten when you update, However, giving the number of bugs being reported recently for Audio Pro, I am not sure when a good time to clone it will be, as you will have to continually patch your cloned skin.

You never said but it sounds to me like your trying to do this via the skins style tab, style tab only allows basic css changes in the formats that are presented for each class. If you want more complex css you have to add it to the css file directly.

I don't know what version of Nova you're using as I downloaded Nova light and the menu background shows up in the style tab.
