Hello!

On each profile there are a series of tabs including one that says "research" and has Ancestry, Find-a-Grave, etc. If I add my log-in info will that allow everyone else to log in with my info? Or does each person add their own log-in info? Thanks! Lisa

Creating User Accounts vs User Profiles

Hello!

After tinkering around with the profiles and accounts and testing them I set up a live account for someone else and she was able to update some stuff and add pictures! WHOOOOOOO!

Hello! So, I had a chance to play today. I didn't want to merge two trees (a research tree & the default tree) so I made a gedcom of the research tree and uploaded it into the default tree so I still had the people in the research tree. Though I clicked images to be part of the gedcom, in the default tree the images did not show up, just links. I deleted the research tree, uploaded a new gedcom, and tried the same thing again. Same result. What did I do wrong? ~ Lisa

Creating User Accounts vs User Profiles

Hello! I have managed to confuse myself with the difference between a user account and a user profile, if there is one!

I want to invite "Joe Smith" to add documents to our tree. We both share "Joseph Smith" as a common ancestor, but we descend from different children of "Joseph Smith" so "Joe" is going to fill in his information that I don't have, and I am going to fill in my information that he doesn't have. WHEW. What is the best way to do this? I know you explained it to me, but I managed to trip myself up. LOL! Thanks - Lisa

Keeping Trees Private

I have got LOTS of questions! When I create a profile to invite someone to add their stuff is there a place to write a brief email so they know what they are getting when a username and password shows up for them? I am a little nervous tinkering in the modules because I do not really understand everything when I click each of the tabs. ~ Lisa

Merging Trees

Purrrfect! I wasn't sure if I was missing something. So, to add people to the main tree it is best to just upload the .gedcom until further notice. Got it!

Yes, it does help! As I am adding folks and events I am questioning how I am doing it and wonder if there is a better way... and YES, there is! Thanks!
