Sourcing Question

Gedcom Didn't Sync

Hi, Brian!

I tried it again, and I got the duplicates.

1) I exported the Miller tree to a gedcom.
2) I imported the gedcom back into the Miller tree, and I got duplicates. I did check "sync profiles."

If I created a new gedcom from my genealogy program on my computer and import it and click "sync profiles" it does sync the profiles.

I just noticed that my 2 duplicates "do" have separate profile numbers!

I am not sure how that is possible because I only have the one working tree where that person appears. I have deleted a tree and started over. Is it possible that these duplicate profiles are in the cache somewhere? If so, where would I look? ~ Lisa

Sourcing Question

I'd like to add a church as a source along with the picture of the church. Does the source have to be already linked to a person, or can it be just "hanging out there?" thanks! Lisa (PS: I ask because I have a lot of people who would be attached to this source)

Linking Problem

Yikes! I don't know what I did wrong! I uploaded two gedcoms, synced the profiles, and though the two people are there in the family file I can't link them! I click "marriage," and I start typing the spouse's name, but it doesn't show up! What do I need to do? I refreshed the cache, but nothing. Any suggestions? ~ Lisa

I tried it this way as well, and it created their name with an arrow box next to it. When I click their name "which as a link" it took me to a page that says the picture does not exist (or something along those lines)
