Disappearing Events

Genosis

Hello! I have run into an interesting issue, and I am not sure if I have to change a setting some place. I am adding information from the death certificates.
So, the ancestor died October 30, 1909. I added his death certificate under the event called "death."
I then added the event "residence" and just dated it October 1909 with the physical address in the detail section. This is just until I learn if he lived there longer.
I then added the event "funeral" and since I didn't know the full date I just added October 1909 like I did with residence, and the event "disappears!"

If I add a full date it doesn't do that. I figured since the event names were different it would allow both events to be shown but it doesn't.
Is there something I need to change somewhere or is that just how the program is designed to work?

Thanks for such an amazing program!!

Lisa

Blog Question

Genosis

Hi, Brian! It does help! I have 2 genealogy blogs... pretty much names and dates just to get that information "out there" and I have met cousins that way! Do you do the blog on your family site at all? I would be interested in seeing it live before I change stuff up again. :-) Lisa

Hello! I am not sure what checking the blog box does? Do you have an example somewhere on your site? Thanks! ~ Lisa

Event Type - Linking People

Genosis

LOL! Oh, I understand. I was not really asking you to do something as much as I was asking if there was a way to do this? I would link the person manually, but the spot for that is "grayed" out. Example: I created an event called "Death of Spouse, " but the area to link a person is not available.

Event Type - Linking People

Genosis

Hello! Is there a way to link a person as in the "Marriage" or "Residence" or "Census" Event Type when I create an event called "Death of Spouse" and be able to link the spouse who died? Gosh, did that even make sense? :-) Thanks!

I am not sure what I did wrong? I typed "He worked as a stone cutter" and the following message popped up when I tried to save it. LOVE this program! Brian, you are a genius! ~ Lisa

Picture Gallery Question

Genosis

Hello! I think I asked this before, but I'll ask again. :-) I uploaded a picture of my grandparents to my grandfather's gallery, but is there anyway to tag my grandmother in it without having to upload the same image to her gallery? ~ Lisa
