I am creating many small family trees for research, and tested it to see how it worked. I created a new user account for the Lapan family, but when I logged into it I was able to see all the other trees as well. What did I do wrong? ~ Lisa

One Copy of Genosis or Two?

No, they do not overlap at any point so far. I also run 2 WordPress blogs which are genealogy related - one for his family and one for mine - mainly just names and dates, but the names show up in the Google search. (each tree about 2200 people in it). If there were 2 copies of Genosis I was thinking of naming each one what the blog is named. Silly, right? The blogs both have pages on Facebook where they have done rather well considering they have been active for only a year (one family has 42 followers and the other has 72 followers). This is why I started looking for a collaborative tree and disliked all my options until I found Genosis on the Gensoft Reviews! I was hoping for a little feedback before I got too far into what I was doing. Thank you!! ~ Lisa

One Copy of Genosis or Two?

Hello! I am THRILLED with Genosis though I only have had the one weekend to tinker around with it!! Here is my question: I have Genosis installed and look forward to inviting fellow researchers to work on our families. My thought is to have many separate trees for research, but the thing is his family will have 13 trees, and my family will have 19 trees for a total of 32 trees! In your opinion, is it better to run 2 copies of Genosis on my site (one for his family - one for mine) or just have the one copy of Genosis with the 32 researching trees? Thoughts on this? ~ Lisa

I just created a new tree called the Ross Family. There is a plus sign there --- no wait --- a question mark --- with the words "new person" there. I click on the words "new person" and it takes me to a different family. ~ Lisa

When I click on the family's name in the upper left a page comes up that says "Featured" "Recent" "Images" & "Stories." Though there are people in that tree, why am I not seeing anything on this page? What do I need to do? ~ Lisa (who has a MILLION questions! )

~~~~~~ Never mind ~~~~~ I figured out what I did! I merged this tree with the main tree, and the people are actually no longer in it. I did not realize when I merged that they would disappear from tree!

Do you have access to my tree? I created a new tree called the Flewelling Family. I clicked the plus sign to add a new person. That took me to the Lapan Family tree and had Harriet Abare and Richard Lapan as his parents. ~ Lisa

Hello! I was in the Flewelling tree to add a new person, and it took me to the Lapan tree and added two other people as his parents. I was able to move him to his Flewelling tree, and then deleted the folks who were not his parents. ~ Lisa
