I created all accounts to be approved by admin. I am running through a test on this and I am seeing a few issues .

1. Once the admin approves, an email is sent to the user. The email does not list the user name. I changed it on mine but this might be good for all systems.

2. The first user login via Firefox displayed something like "you do not have the necessary permissions for this action. (second test did not reproduce this issue)

3. Adding an offsite link in the Bio did not trigger akismet notification. Blog does trigger an email.

Broken Image Link

Using Jamroom

I have a broken image for https://www.site.com/image/img/module/jrTicket/waiting-EEEEEE.png. This link appears very off since the link should be in the jr ticket module. Going into that dir it looks like the image should be waiting-white.png.

The image is in the Open Tickets - https://www.site.com/ticket/browse/open/1

Repro Steps:

Login
Create a New Song
Add Audio
Click submit and Upload a Song
Result: Page goes to song detail page and displays "This audio file is currently being processed and will appear here when complete." This message never changes despite the message "and will appear here when complete." Right now users read this and think the song is still processing.

Work Around: Refresh the page and the audio is displayed.

Expected Result: Once the message is displayed, the song should finish processing and then the song detail page should automatically refresh and display the song.

Hey Brian - If I refresh the page, the song appears. It has been this way for years.

When you upload a song you get a message, "This audio file is currently being processed and will appear here when complete." The problem is this does not change and if they sit on the page, it will stay this way forever.

Is there a solution (like ajax or something?) that can determine the song is complete and reload so the song appears?

Nice work Brian!

For now I set it to admin. Approval on signup which will help. Already killed a few but as they catch on to this, I am sure the names will become generic so it will be difficult to weed out spam accounts. The updates to bio will be extremely useful.

I blocked ranges from the .htaccess file but I did not think it worked from the ban area. I could be wrong though.

Hey Micheal - a few ideas.

1. Integrate akismet with bio and all other profile areas. If it isn’t not looking in the right areas, it only offers a little ability not a full scale solution.

2. In the block ip area setup the ability to block ip ranges or even countries. I blocked India but I may add others soon.

3. Strumelia’s post about adding additional questions may be helpful. Most of the signups are actual users though so music questions might be a viable solution.

Anyone else have suggestions?
