Signup Hold Process

Suggestions

Not yet. I am hoping my post will inititate one. If this continues, I would almost prefer to drop OneAll and just go with regular signups. At least I can control it better that way, at the loss of the user experience though.

Actually I posted on their forum yesterday so was hoping for a reply sometime this weekend. If you guys can tie into their api and have it route through the ban system, that would be ideal.

Signup Hold Process

Suggestions

Thanks Brian. They typically use the same word in the name so I would ban that word and not necessarily the email. What is annoying is that OneAll has "x" number of Free Access Accounts and then it goes to a subscription model. I am deleting these same accounts every few days so they are just killing the OneAll social media signup.

I have spammers that are signing up through social media links and they are automatically authorized. This step bypasses the signup filters.

What I would like is a module that would read the ban criteria prior to the being authorized. We could then send an email that the account is under review if it finds a match.

I could do the admin authorization but that is a pain and from what I have seen, that does not authorize the email. I could get mre spammers letting random people through.

Do the Ban Items Actually Work?

Using Jamroom

Group has validated their account via google and logged in.

That solves that. Thanks for the help Brian.

not the exact same each time but close. Is there a value set somewhere for how they registered?

Oh what I meant above is if I set "getta" in the email field, that would prevent any email containing "getta" correct?

I have tried both values in the name and email including the full email and it still comes through. So every two days I am deleting a few profiles.

For some reason I do not get the signup emails any more so that would not be good.

Are you referring to the human check? I would rather we setup a small module that would just allow us to ask a question and supply an answer. What is 4+5? and then an input box for the user.

How would that email get past the banned item? If I set "gotta" in the email field that should also stop all signup with that name. Correct?

I ran the test and it shows up in the email. I am getting a few different spammers signing up daily. Do we still have the ability to add captcha?

I have had banned items like email, names etc. and the spammers are still able to sign up. The last user email was an exact match of the banned email item.

Can someone take a look?
