Group Error - Firefox and IE Only

Using Jamroom

I wanted to add a menu link to all groups and when I used the default page, it is fine in chrome but throws an error in IE and Firefox.

I ran an integrity check and repaired the DB but no go. I thought this had to do with groups that were deleted so I re-added them from the recycle bin but still no go.

Error:
CRI: Query Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 3

Thanks for the help!

Group Comments - Add Images?

Using Jamroom

Thanks Douglas that is probably the better way to go.

Steve I want the functionality but did not want this huge white ribbon displayed on a dark site. This is why I prefer a click to see it if they want an upload because the majority of users will not want it. Additionally any change I make is global and not specific to groups only. So if I remove buttons, I would lose functionality for other comment areas.

Appreciate the help guys.

Strumelia I understand what you are saying however from a cosmetic/UX standpoint, less is more. From the below images, what is more visually appealing? Which is easier to understand at first glance? The best websites out there are streamlined. I always use Yahoo as example. Their page is a cluster. Way too much content displayed. Are they a search engine? A news site? Email provider? The list goes on and on.

The way we have a complete editor displayed to me is overkill on a main public page. Creating/Editing a song and having the editor in there makes sense because it is behind the scenes and not displayed to anyone just going to the page. I can't recall any site that i have ever been to displaying an editor to the public. If there is I stand corrected.

I think it works well but I wonder if it would be better hidden unless you want to add an attachment? So just a text box underneath with a button to click to add an attachment or insert an image. Right now it looks like I have the MS Word ribbon on my page :).

Thanks Paul. I love the tinymce editor but I must say that is the ugliest thing I have ever seen in a UI. Behind the scenes it is perfect but man is it ugly lol.

Am I missing a setting somewhere to allow adding images into a comment reply?

Thanks!

Link Existing Accounts

OK having a brain melt down all of the sudden. I have 2 existing profiles and I want them tied to just one user account. Do I need to delete the existing user on the account and then associate that profile to the existing user account? I can't believe I forgot how to do this!
