install

Installation and Configuration

You've created 2 servers, delete one.
https://www.jamroom.net/dean-venier/hosting/dashboard

This is the dashboard for your first server:
https://www.jamroom.net/dean-venier/hosting/server_settings/565

You can see the site is active on your secondary domain here:
http://deanvenierorg.jamroomhosting.com

Once you update your NAME SERVERS at whereever you have your domain name registered then the primary domain can be activated. Until then use the secondary one.

The first account you create is the admin account, go create that now.

Docs are here:

Jamroom Developers

It all seems to be working here.

An admin user sent a private note to a regular user with a link in it while using the editor: link arrived.
A regular user replied to a private note and included a link: link arrived.

Maybe a quota setting perhaps?

Does Jamroom have a pugin for affiliate/referrals ?

Design and Skin Customization

We no longer have a jamroom specific affiliate marketing module.

There are a few threads in the fourm that talk about how to install different systems

Forums: talking about iDev affiliate
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/new_posts/40574/affiliate-module

Another one:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/design-and-skin-customization/58820/which-template-has-the-thank-you-page-subscriptions

Probably your best bet would be to join an existing program like clickbank or commission junction or other because they have a bunch of marketers already.

Any jamrom plugin or tutorials on JR SEO optimization?

Design and Skin Customization

Have relevant information for the search term.

Google has its own browser now "Chrome". And its own operating system "Android", they no longer need you to tell them what your site is about. The best SEO is to have the most relevant information for the topic being searched on.

So if you want to rank high for a specific search term have the best information about it, then when your results are displayed to all those users using Chrome and Android, when they choose your offering your SEO rank goes up.

If they abandon your site immediately your rank goes down.

Solaris scripts no longer supported on Strato servers

Installation and Configuration

It sounds like they're limiting your services. if you're using Genosis to make a faimily tree system then its quite possible you're not using most of those.

Solaris scripts no longer supported on Strato servers

Installation and Configuration

if your host has made some changes that make it so the binaries that we supply dont work, presumably they have binaries that DO work. So what you can do is tell jamroom to use the servers binaries instead of its own, here's some docs:

Docs: "Howto use a different ffmpeg binary"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/howto/4641/howto-use-a-different-ffmpeg-binary

--edit--
You'd need to ask your host the paths needed.

I had troubled with .htaccess in my root jamroomsystem

Using Jamroom

.htaccess should exist only in the root directory of the site
/data
/modules
/skins
.htaccess
Same level as the main directories 'modules' 'skins' and 'data'.

You're saying there was one in
/skins/jrBeatSlinger/.htaccess
?

If it is there it shouldn't be. I'll check our files.
