subscriptions: 1 user, multiple profile s

Using Jamroom

Got that, but how does that work with subscriptions? Does that Power User purchase multiple subscriptions, one for each profile created? It doesn't appear to work that way. Subscriptions appear to be User-based, not Profile-based; even though you do set them up based on Profile Quotas. Or do they purchase one subscription that covers all of the profiles they create?

So what about multiple profiles? I want my users to have many profiles if they wish. Can a user subscribe to more than one profile?

subscriptions: 1 user, multiple profile s

Using Jamroom

What's sort of throwing me off a bit is the subscriptions aspect when a USER can create multiple profiles. I have a number of profile quotas differentiated only by the amount of space allotted to them. A user signs up for free and then can create any number of profiles; let's call them Fan Sites.

Let's say a user signs up as a member then creates a "Fan Site" for the Pittsburgh Steelers under the 250MB quota. Even though that quota is set as subscription only, the user can create additional profiles by clicking the + button next to a profile name without purchasing a subscription.

So evidently I am approaching it in the wrong way. Subscriptions are not per profile, but per USER. Correct? So if a user has 10 different profiles and my subscriptions are based on space limits, the total of their profiles must fall below that limit -- correct?

If that's the case, related question: if their subscription lapses do ALL of their profiles move to the quota I have set in Foxycart for that event?

I have one user signup quota. User can create multiple profiles. There are multiple quota tiers with additional space by subscription. It appears that while quotas are based on profiles, quota subscriptions are based on user accounts. For instance, if I subscribe to a quota with 500MB of space, all of my profiles together are limited to 500MB. Is that correct?

Jamroom to XMPIE uStore Bridge

Jamroom Developers

There is this thread about LDAP into Jamroom ( https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/25719/ldap-authentication ), but I'd like to go from Jamroom to another site. The user would log into Jamroom and then be able to go to the other site without logging in there as their Jamroom credentials would be used to log into the other site.

Jamroom to XMPIE uStore Bridge

Jamroom Developers

XMPIE is a Xerox Production Environment with Adobe Server technology for web-to-print. uStore is its shopping cart. LDAP Is... LDAP stands for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol. It is an application protocol used over an IP network to manage and access the distributed directory information service. The primary purpose of a directory service is to provide a systematic set of records, usually organized in a hierarchical structure.

Jamroom to XMPIE uStore Bridge

Jamroom Developers

I'm interested in logging jamroom users into an XMPIE uStore. It supports LDAP. Not sure what's involved and if it's beyond my expertise. If that's the case, I'm interested having that built. Can you provide an estimate or point me in the right direction if that's not something the Jamroom team would be interested in doing?

Subscription code isn't working in pages

Using Jamroom

This is from Brian (in case anyone else wants to do this):

What you'll need to do is not use the smarty code - you'll need to:

1) Make a temporary template - i.e. "get_subscribe_code.tpl" in your active skin directory.
2) Put {jrFoxyCart_subscribe_url quota_id=$_post.id} in the template
3) call the template from your browser - i.e. http://yoursite.com/get_subscribe_code/id=4

That will give you the URL you can then paste into the page creator or a blog.

Let me know if that helps.

Services issue

Using Jamroom

The photo option in the services module has an issue. If you have a photo uploaded and then update the service with a new photo, it adds the second photo, but there is no functionality for multiple photos. You can't delete them nor can you access the subsequent ones on the detail page.
