Working on "look & feel" & eager for suggestions.

Ning To Jamroom

Yay, thank you for information about cloning skin.
We are quite new on jamroom and I'm a non-coder. On ning we had a test site to check all changes. Here I was wondering how to check future changes.

Every day I meet amazing people here.
I hope in the near future I'll be able to help others.

@michael - thank you for believing in me. :)
However, I would be grateful for your help. Could you please add it to our site lewwwpcom.jamroomhosting.com.

I'm still learning and trying to understand the code you use to write all of these features. Many things I just guess. I tried to put that code in many places in index_activity.tpl but each time I failed.
Thank you for you help.

Editing Activity Timeline

Design and Skin Customization

Hi :)
I love this tip and am working at adding this tiny X to the activity on the home page, but probably I do something wrong or I miss something. I'm just not a programmer and would be grateful for any tips how to solve my challenge.

I use the Site Builder to create our home page. I use widget Timeline. I loaded Custom Template and added the code suggested by @douglas there:
Quote:
{if jrUser_is_admin()}
{if isset($_items)}
{foreach $_items as $item}
X
{/foreach}
{/if}
{/if}

I see nice X in each activity, but when I click on it, each time a new page is open with information "This Page Does Not Exist."
What did I miss? Or maybe I should add the above code in the other place, not inside the custom code in the widget.

Hi Michael :)
You're a rock star.
Yes, this is what I wanted to have.
I used the Site Builder and it works perfectly.
Thank you.

And now I also know that I can upload existing template and make changes there. I thought I have to create my own new template for each widget if I want to change something.

:)

Design and Skin Customization

Hello,
I'm new on Jamroom, so I'm sorry if my question is silly.

Our site is in the middle of the transition from ning. We are using NingJa skin.

Our members write many blog posts.
Is it possible to have a page where we will have only the list of titles of our blog posts? Or at least the short beginning of their blog posts?
In the attachment is the part of our old ning site where we have only titles without text.

I tried to build similar page using Site Builder, but I couldn't find anything that I might use. When I use default blog page, I see whole blog posts. Scrolling down to find some blog posts might be annoying, especially that many blog posts are quite long with images.

I would be grateful if you could suggest where I can make needed changes.

events setting time options for GMT 0 (NOT London), predicament international RSVPers

Suggestions

Hi all :)
I cooperate with Holly, and we tried to set out site to GMT.
But, London time during summer is not GMT.
In the screenshoot Holly posted, you can see for example that Istanbul is GMT+2, and this is not true now. Now Istanbul is GMT+3. During summer time most members will see wrong time of our classes if they "change" their time.
However, if it would be possible to show members their time, it would be great.
