Can I move discussions from a group to my site's community forum?

Ning To Jamroom

I can't find the module Group Discussion Transfer in my market place. Is that Jamroom 6 only?
I would also like to transfer my groups to forum categories :)

Can de-activated members continue sending private notes if still logged in?

Using Jamroom

Thanks so much for posting this Strumelia. I had no idea users were not "banned" when their profile was inactive. This is a really important feature and I thought it was built in (meaning that when a profile was set as inactive, it prevented the user from doing anything).

I'll add the field on the form as described here.

Thanks!

How to create a page where all member profiles can be seen and browsed?

Ning To Jamroom

I don't have all the answers but here's what I did after my Import.

I used Site Builder/Menu Editor to make my top menu.
I have a item called members which points to profile (written just like that, no slash, no quotes). You can choose who can see this (including all members even logged out).

it looks like this:
http://empathcommunity.eliselebeau.com/profile

For the other items you want, you will have to modify the template for this module (profile).
I'm not sure but I think it would be this file:
modules/jrProfile/templates/item_list_profile_list.tpl

Image gallery showing up on profile

Using Jamroom

Profiles are showing a section called "Image gallery" even though the member quota does not have permission to this module. I even disabled the module to see if that fixed the issue. I had never noticed this before, so I am puzzled.

See screenshot and live url:

Tips on why this is happening?

Module Updates: where are the release notes?

Using Jamroom

If I used the template editor (not FTP), my module changes are safe and I just need to use the Compare tool with every update to see if I want the changes?

Thanks!

Module Updates: where are the release notes?

Using Jamroom

1) oh duh, i didn't think to go look in the market place. The link took me straight to the upgrade tab.

2) Ooooooo. Wow, that is such a great system. And I am so happy right now I cloned the skin before making edits :)

Thanks!

imported profile info

Hi Holly,
To "close" a discussion, you (the author) mark it as "solved".

If you go at the top of this discussion, you will see a lightbulb icon. Click on that and you will see the "solved" option. This let's the Jamroom team that you don't need anymore help and strumelia has saved the day (as she tends to do for Ning owners ;)

Module Updates: where are the release notes?

Using Jamroom

I just had my first update experience. It was lovely! Yay!

1) how I find out what changed in the module?
2) If I made template changes for a module, and it gets updates, or are my changes overwriten/need review/unchanged? (and this is why I am asking about the release notes ;)
