Did you have the exact page you want them directed to listed in the OnClick Code box, complete with the single quote marks? It should look like this:

window.open('http://yoursite/page/whatever')

otherwise, I don't know what is the issue... sorry! It worked for me - One of our main tabs actually directs the member to another website outside our JR site.

I did that at first too. You need to leave the regular URL field blank. see attached

I have a question - if I keep the questions in the profiles, is there a way to make some of those questions "private" (viewable only by admins?)? Or is it an all-or-nothing thing - the privacy of the whole profile vs non-privacy?

Hmmm.... the problem is that I'm using the Combined List, not the regular List. And I don't have that search option.

But I'm thinking that, if I make everything mandatory to post on the timeline, then I can do my list from the timeline and use that search option... what do think? think that would accomplish what I want?

We have a "latest activity" feed in a widget on our main page. It's working pretty well... except our members don't want us to have it include "So&So is now following Betty". They don't want it announced every time they follow someone.

For that widget, I'm using the Combined List (including Comments, event calendar, forum, timeline and all the video modules).

So is there a way to keep these from popping up?

No, I have the tags set for the admin quota and I'm able to tag the other stuff (blogs, photos, groups, etc.)
