Looking for a Jamroom module developer to help us build some custom modules

Jamroom Developers

paul:
It's now in the beta marketplace here - https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/877/user-points

It is in beta and I can't remember how 'finished' it was but sure it was working but may be some bugs still. Give it a try :-)

Configuration is by quota so for each quota you can define which action (item create, like, rate etc.) will award user points. You will need a basic knowledge of Jamroom database 'datastore' tables as the module configuration uses the keys from these tables, eg. profile_jrBlog_item_count for blog counts, or youtube_stream_count for YouTube streams etc. Hopefully you can work it all out :-)

Thanks, Paul! We're excited to try it out!

A few years ago I built the jrUserPoints module that does pretty well what you are asking.
I'll dust it down and put it in the Beta channel for you to check out.

That would be awesome! Thanks, Paul!

Looking for a Jamroom module developer to help us build some custom modules

Jamroom Developers

Hello Jamroom developers!

We are looking for a Jamroom module developer to help us build some custom modules:

- Magic Link Invitations module
- Invitation Tracker module
- Points module

Magic Link Invitation module

This module would allow users to invite people to sign up via a special link. We are aware of the existing "Invitations" module, but this doesn't fit our needs because 1) we need to be able to track successful invites (see "Invitation Tracker module" below), which the "Invitations" module doesn't see to be able to do, and 2) the "Invitations" module allows users to mass-send emails to users via our internal email system, which we see as a potential vector for abuse.

Invitation Tracker module

This module would work as a complementary module to the "Magic Link Invitations" that would enable to the ability for quota promotions based on number of successful invitations. For example, if a user successfully gets 50 people to sign up using their magic link, then their profile would be elevated to a quota with higher module access and limits.

Points module

This module would keep track of user engagement on the platform (e.g., likes, shares, comments, etc.), and would award points based on their activity. This would then enable a "Scoreboard" page, where users could be ranked based on their points.

If anyone out there would like to work with us on building these modules, please send an email to contact@tunetrax.com and we will discuss further details and compensation.

Disable caching of an individual template

Jamroom Developers

Still having an issue with this. Full Page Caching is disabled and no_cache=true is set in the jrCore_list call, so, we're not sure why it's still caching the results...

Sorry, I meant to say that it was not enabled. It was disabled.

Disable caching of an individual template

Jamroom Developers

paul:
You should just be able to put "no_cache=true" inside the jrCore_list that is creating the random list. What is the 'outer template' that you think is cached? Does that contain a jrCore_list call as well? If so, try applying the no_cache=true to that as well.

The outer template is a wrapper template that instantiates the variables needed in the template for that section. The outside template of that template just includes said template, and the header and footer templates.

brian:
Make sure and disabled the "Full Page Caching" option in the Core global config.

Full Page Caching was not disabled.

Disable caching of an individual template

Jamroom Developers

I have a page which uses the jrCore_list function to list handpicked artist profiles and tracks, and I have the ordering set to random. My problem is that the ordering doesn't change unless the caches are reset.

My question is, is there a way to disable caching of an individual template so that the ordering always changes every time the page is visited? I know about the no_cache parameter, but I understand that it won't work since the outer template containing the jrCore_list call may be cached. I tried using the smarty nocache function as well, wrapping it around the contents of the outermost template, but that still didn't work.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
