The Event Calendar Module is added. Activated in appropriate quotas. Do not see an "Add Event" option. B

Create An Event

Using Jamroom

I'm missing something. How do I create an event? Not seeing "Create an Event" on my profile or event calendar. What did I miss?
Thanks!

Simple Chat Jamroom 6 - Audible Notification

Using Jamroom

Brian,
Yes, I can see and appreciate your concern. I know my crowd will expect a sound, because that is what they've become accustomed to. I am completely OK with giving this a go with the existing notifications and the ability to : Page Member feature.
We normally have between 20 and 50 folks on chat and use a goat bleat for the tone (seriously) on one of the networks...lol. We use a revving race engine on the other. That does become annoying at times and some folks do turn them off. The tone is more for letting someone who may be surfing the web during the show know there's a new chat response. On the other hand....when one hears a constant flow of chimes it lets them know there's a lot of activity and attracts more users. On our existing NINGs the chat and chimes are only experienced by those logged into the site.
I appreciate your consideration.

Simple Chat Jamroom 6 - Audible Notification

Using Jamroom

Thanks Brian. That you will consider it is sufficient. The 2 networks that we're currently about to migrate over to Jamroom will most certainly expect chat notifications...because they have been used to that for the past 9 years. We have a very active chat group during our live shows....it has become a major part of the engagement for us. As for the "annoyance" factor....most chat systems have a way to turn it off an on...and / or adjust the volume. The NING chat even allows us to customize the tone by uploading our own audio file. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Simple Chat Jamroom 6 - Audible Notification

Using Jamroom

Brian - yes this is what I'm asking about.
@strumelia - exactly
Paul - I'm not seeing a way to turn on this notification. Please help. Chat notifications are on and working for my other networks, but this one is not...and it is not obvious (to me) how to enable it. thanks very much for your help.

Simple Chat Jamroom 6 - Audible Notification

Using Jamroom

Thanks Michael. Got any idea if there are plans (or a way) to implement an automatic chime. Not so much for this network, but we're getting ready to migrate 2 more nings that have heavy chat users during our live talk radio broadcasts. I'm using this migration to "practice" for the next (larger) network. Loving it so far.

Simple Chat Jamroom 6 - Audible Notification

Using Jamroom

Newbie here. Just migrated one of my Ning sites and upgraded to JR 6. Added Simple Chat. Does anyone know if there is a way to add an audible notification to Simple Chat?
