Repeats in search results and page number issues.

Using Jamroom

This was fixed for us, but is now happening again. We have not applied any updates since the fix was applied by @Brian. I've re-opened the ticket. Sorry.

Disappearing edit and delete icons in comment boxes

Using Jamroom

Hi all.
This has been raised several times as an issue, most recently here: https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/using-jamroom/30699/disappearing-edit-and-trash-button-glitch
It has always seemed to be an intermittent glitch.

I think I have narrowed it down so you can reproduce it.
If you refresh a page in any way, (say, add a comment, or simply refresh), and as the page is loading, position your cursor inside an existing comment box, the icons will not appear in that box until you move your cursor out of it. Move back in and they disappear.

Refresh the page, taking care that your cursor is outside of the box. When you move back in, the icons re-appear and can be used as normal.

Repeats in search results and page number issues.

Using Jamroom

Here's another, example, where I searched the word 'face'.
I'm getting lots of repeats on this search - never repeated on the same page, but often on the next page of results. It's not because new images are being added at the start of the list of results. I reset and did the same search, and it was the same images at the beginning.
Has there been a change to the way search results are obtained or presented in 5.3?

I cleared browser cache and it still happens. I cleared cache between changing pages and it still repeated images.
In this example, there are 5 repeats on page 6. I continued and found 6 repeats on page 7. Page 8 was all new.

Repeats in search results and page number issues.

Using Jamroom

Since update to 5.3.0, I have noticed that searching the image gallery often shows repeats of the same image among the search results.
Anyone else seen this?

I am having a hard time reproducing it at the moment as results change, but here is a simple example. I searched our reference photos for 'pie'.
There are 16 results shown including one repeat. The first time I did this search, there were three repeated images. They are repeats not copies on the database - the duplicates have the same image ids.

The page jumper shows 1/12054. 12054 is the total number of image pages on our site. The actual number of search result pages is 2.
My screen shots show that the last image on the first page is repeated on the second page.
There is a 'next' arrow on page 2, but there isn't a page 3 - you get a blank page if you go to next.

Spam popup appearing on image page.

Using Jamroom

This is an odd one. We have noticed that there is a strange Russian popup that appears on certain image pages in our Image Gallery. I attach a screen shot example. This popup comes and fades then reappears, but is visible to anyone looking at that one image.
The popup is Russian: Similar pop-ups are appearing on other images where one of our Russian member has commented.
Do you know how these pop-ups come to be attached to the image page, and how can we get rid of them? It would be good if we could block this kind of thing in the future.

I've just looked again and the pop-ups have gone, which is good - one was Russian girls (I'll say no more!)

Problem with Photo Album link in album title

Using Jamroom

Thanks @Brian for upgrading PMP-art to 5.3. It is fantastic to have that REPLY notification facility!

Since the upgrade, I have noticed that on the Photo Album view for a user, in which you see a list of all the albums for that user, the photo album titles are incorrectly linked to the photo album. The photo album number is missing.
You can still get to the photo album by clicking the outward arrow at the end of the image thumbnails for that photo album.
Example:
Link associated with the album title is
http://pmp-art.com/library/photoalbum/pmp-challenge-feb2016-alien-landscape
Url of the photo album is
http://pmp-art.com/library/photoalbum/8056/pmp-challenge-feb2016-alien-landscape

I-Pad Smiley truncates text in comment field?

Using Jamroom

Yes thanks @Brian. Better to lose an emoji than the text, certainly.

I-Pad Smiley truncates text in comment field?

Using Jamroom

This has been reported by one of our users, unfortunately I can't test as I don't have an i-Pad. Is it a fault?

Example...
Comment text with Smiley face added from site's comment box looks like this:
> "Didn't go to the 30 30 yesterday.
> At least we have a nice little group who are keen. [smiley face symbol]
> Sometimes you need a reason! I'm glad we decided to set it up."

If the Smiley is added from i-Pad's smiley faces, the comment looks like this:

> "Didn't go to the 30 30 yesterday.
> At least we have a nice little group who are keen."

It seems that if a person uses the Apple smileys, the smiley and any words after it disappear.
