How do I change the email address associated with hosting account and JR sites ?

The email and ID to put there for you is found under the LICENCES tab here on jamroom.net:
https://www.jamroom.net/networklicense/licenses/profile_id=2082/user_id=2076

Can I change the email that is currently under my license? If so, how do I do that?

Using Jamroom

I want to change the email account associated with our account and with our JR sites. I figured out how to change the account email on the Jamroom site. But when I went to our JR site, got a message on the Marketplace module page saying that I needed to change it in Marketplace Tools. So I did that... All good....

But when I went to Help on any of the modules, it said " User not found - please check account email is correct" and it showed that the account was the old email address associated with it.

So are there directions somewhere for changing the email address for the account and on the JR site (BTW, we use JR hosting, if that makes a difference).

"Share" a blog with members?

Hi! This may seem like a silly question, but in Ning, admins had the option to share a post with all members. It'd send members an email that had a snippet of the post with a link to it. Is there something like that on Jamroom? I'm not seeing it if there is.

Embedding Google Calendar


Using Jamroom

Hi! I'm trying to setup a tab for our Network Hosts. Is there a way to embed a Google calendar into a page? We've used that to do the schedule for a long time and it seems to work well. I'm pretty new to Jamroom, so I'm still learning my way around. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Brian... that explanation is very clear and very helpful. Now I can go back and look at the emails that failed with this message and try to figure out what is going on with them.

Email Delivery Log message: Unable to connect to MX servers: []?


Using Jamroom

After sending out a password reset email to members who migrated from our Ning to our JR site, I checked the email delivery log and saw that some of them failed, with a message that said "Unable to connect to MX servers:"

Can someone tell me what that means? What are MX servers and why wouldn't they connect? does that mean that the servers for recipients are blocking my emails? Or that those people are no longer on those servers (e.g., they may have left their jobs)? I think some of these people are still at those emails, so I'm curious why it's not working.

Any thoughts (in layperson language please).

Groups - Change ownership? change/add administrators?

I changed the owner... (love being able to do that, BTW!) but the previous owner is still a member of the whole network and of this group.

Update on my group issues. Almost all of the "weird" members have disappeared. it seems that there may still be one left. Also group members (not owners) are still getting a strange message when they click on View All for the discussions. They get a message that says:

""" by @ is a private Group!"

I went off to work at a big conference this week (very busy time) so I didn't have time to check back here. Now I'm back and it seems you all have solved this for me! Strumelia, you totally rock since you understood so well what I was trying to do and helped me figure out what was missing here. It was a brilliant observation that I couldn't see the file tab because I hadn't uploaded any files yet.Thanks to Michael also for the documentation... this will help our group members tremendously.
