Problems with login page and Forgot Login page

Using Jamroom

We're having some issues with our login page and our Forgot Login page.

Login page:
1. . the User login help currently says "You must use a valid email address to sign up." However, using an email doesn't work. We want people to be able to use either their username or their email address.
2. I want to change the help info for the user login, but not sure where to find that... Assuming it's in Form Designer, but not sure how to get from the login page to the form designer since I'm logged out when I look at the Login page...

Forgot Login page:
It says that you can enter your username or email. However when I enter my email, it says it says: An account with that email address or user name was not found - please try again

It works fine if you enter your username instead of your email. but again I'd like people to be able to use either one.

We'd like to have our login page set up exactly how the JR login is set up... but we don't know how....

Network Hosts

Using Jamroom

paul:
Hi Deb - Open a ticket with your admin login and I'll take a look. Also let me have a couple of 'old' 'network hosts' for me to compare with 'Dani'.

Although the search issue is fixed, there is still apparently some issue with one of our hosts not getting notifications. Before I submit a ticket thought, I'll make sure her email isn't somehow blocking the notifications.

Thanks, Paul....

Go to your ACP > Listings > Search > Tools and click the Rebuild Index button, that should fix your search issue.

Thanks Douglas.... that fixed the search issue!

Network Hosts

Using Jamroom

ICW:
So here's the problem, Paul... After we migrated from Ning to JR, we set up a quota we're calling Network Hosts. This is a group of people who welcome new members. Some of these folks were members that migrated from Ning (let's call them the "old" members). We have one new member (Dani) who just joined and we made her a Network Host as well.

The issue: There's something weird going on.... None of the "old" members who are Network Hosts are not showing up when we do a search for them by name. Dani shows up just fine.... I've compared Dani's profile and user account with one of the old members and there doesn't seem to be anything different about them.

There may also be some issues with old members not getting notifications... I'm still trying to pin that problem down....not sure if it's related issue or separate issue.

Deb

Update: I'm finding that there are a lot of members who I can't find through the search. I'm trying to figure out if this has to do with whether they migrated from the Ning vs. those who just signed up OR if it depends on whether they have logged into the current JR site after they signed up OR something else.... I can't figure it out... should I submit a ticket for this one?

How do I change the email address associated with hosting account and JR sites ?

Using Jamroom

ICW:
douglas:
In your Global Config for your Support Center module, you'll want to make sure the email is the same as the email you use here on jamroom.net.

ACP > Core > Support Center > Global Config > Email Address (Of your jamroom.net account)

I'll check this out...

Yay! that seems to have fixed the account email issue... Now I just need to figure out why some people aren't showing up in search and not getting notifications.... I'll start a new discussion if I can't figure out what I did to mess it up LOL

How do I change the email address associated with hosting account and JR sites ?

Using Jamroom

Hmmm... I appear to have some other issues going on with some of our members not showing up in searches and not getting notifications, etc. The email I'm switching the account to belongs to one of those members... Maybe I need to scope this out a bit more to see what's going on....

That's done from your ACCOUNT tab:
https://www.jamroom.net/user/account/profile_id=2082/user_id=2076

I see how that works... And it seems to be fine.... But here's the problem I'm still having... After that is done, I try to use the Help tab for any of the modules and get this screen (see attached file). The account there still has my old email address...

Network Hosts

Using Jamroom

Hi! We're trying to get our Network Hosts setup. The hosts are in the Network Host quota, but they're not receiving email notifications when new members join. How do we set that up?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Stacy
